Currently Demon Hunter and Outlaw rogue are tied for highest dps spec apm at 73apm according to simulation craft but it got me thinking what dps spec in history has the highest apm ever? I assume the answer will be from the later expansions considering a lot of classes earlier on in wow played a lot slower than what they do today. My first expansion was Shadowlands so Im quite clueless when it comes to how classes played back in the past
Outlaw does not feel that APM heavy to me, I dunno. Maybe I’m just doing it wrong.
I have to think Enh shaman might be the highest apm spec in PVE.
I think fury and feral were close to 100 at some points near end of xpacs
My fingers couldn’t handle 73 apm. Getting old
I’m probably doing 20 APM lol.
8.3 URFpaladin with 50 HOJs in 10 seconds. So much fun.
Currently fury has double the CPM of any other class.
I don’t think I’d even consider spamming whirlwind for procs to be an action
WW for procs? What procs?
ST Log.
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/RVwcm3bNzJaXAMqW#fight=4&type=casts
Fury warr = 179.4 Casts Per Minute
Ret pally = 80.9 CPM
Havoc dh = 80.1 CPM
Maybe glad warrior. Not sure of the number, but it was pretty frantic.
Whippeeee over half the casts are raging blow! Not impressive or thougut provoking in the slightest!
Thread is highest apm in history not most thought provoking in history!
Realistically you will never get much higher than 60-70sh actual button presses. Spammable off-gcd abilities will just get macro’d into other buttons.
Frost mage in Nighthold with Guldan trinket?
CPM seems like a fake stat which is irrelevant, that being said. It counts something like Crusading Strikes, which is quite literally just the Retribution melee swing.
well… at least its not spamming heroic strike anymore.

Is that better?
That is better, but the list seems incomplete
Whats APM ?
This is literally not possible. Sidearm and extra WW ticks are not “casts,” WCL.
well, they are as far as the combat log is concerned. but yeah, it’s a misleading measurement.
