Highest AoE class/spec?

What class has in past expansions and currently are doing really good in mythic+ and BGs? Mainly for AoEing things down, the more pulled the better for them. Now I know unholy dk can do really good AoE and the bigger the better, but are there other classes that are just as good at it?

Rogues are great at AoE, and are still the defacto top dps pick for M+ and PvP. You will need to learn more than one spec though (Outlaw for M+, Assassination for PvP).

Outlaw Rogue probably have the best AoE overall, but I just don’t like the whole RNG dice thing…
Other than that, I’d say Havoc DH (and maybe Vengeance too?) have pretty solid AoE with Eye Beam + Death Sweep. Bonus: AoE stun.
Also, any dps can have huge AoE with kamehameha essence.

I already know unholy can do good. So it would seem rogue and DH are king in the aoe department?

Fire mages and Unholy DKs do ridiculous aoe damage if the right conditions are met.

For general purpose though, yeah, you can’t go wrong with demon hunter and outlaw.
