I have noticed lag spikes the last couple days and started to try to figure out what’s going on. Currently experiencing high World Latency 500 ms +, sometimes spiking to ver 1000ms. Home latency is higher than I’d like but is consistently around 100 ms.

Where are you connecting from, what’s sort of internet? Wifi or wired? Instance or world content?
Latency can be difficult to track down. Home and world Latency in this case are different connections to different networks of Blizzard. There used to be a post I’d look up to refer to.
Im having the same issue. Started over the weekend game runs fine then high spikes up to 4k.
Im wired with a router. I run spectrum internet.
I have rebooted my modem/router several times, did a DNS flush. I also had a spectrum tech out who moved some out dated equipment but im still getting high latency. Im also having issues with discord as well which is telling me its probably not wow. I think it may have to do with my hops but trace routing isnt helping much.
I’m in Calgary connecting to a CT server. I’m using Wifi but was thinking about getting wired although I’m not sure that would make a difference. I have had the same problem in the past with wired.
It happens both in instanced content and in the open world. I’m also not sure that the Latency it gives is always accurate. I was experiencing lag while in a Delve with low latency.
You sound like my issue as well. We are having a lot of latency/lag in our household. One is on wifi, one one wired, fiber internet. Latency seems to start on a relay in Denver but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get around it. VPN helps but I shouldn’t have to VPN to play the game. 
It’s pretty annoying and I hope it clears itself up soon. It’s mainly happened in the last couple of weeks.
Yes! The last couple weeks have been insane! Having to alt f4 to kill the game and relaunch to even finish a delve because it lags out so bad.
I have now replaced my router and still getting lag spikes. I did more trace routes and I was getting alot of timeouts once I hit blizzard IP’s. not sure if they made them up traceable for ddos purposes or what.
Many nodes do not respond to ICMP requests as a protection mechanism.
im also having this issue that my world latency randomly spikes. im wired to my router and everything, its driving me insane
unfortunately the patch did nothing to fix this. guess I cannot raid or do M+. 2k brand new pc with 5g and low latency great connection to everything and cannot play this 20 year old game. It sucks because it’s my favorite game. Only since TWW has this been an issue at all.
Mobile connections are not supported unfortunately.
5g fiber. I should have clarified. I am wired to my router, I have 4.87G speed into my machine from a fiber connection.
I’m having similar issues. Started Monday afternoon. I’m hard-wired from Xfinity, 880 up, 25 down.
