I suppose that explains the staff on the Trading Post. You get the tender to either grab it or, if you main a class that doesn’t use staves, you get enough for a class weapon set or whatever else instead.

Sorry Blizz, I can wait. I would have gotten it for $10 but $25 isn’t really worth it. You can learn one or two things from FF14, I guess.

Thank D4 and OW2 players. They have shown ActBliz that enough people are willing to shell out that much.

I’m not really into robes on clothies, so it’s a meh for me.

I mean it’s overpriced for an okay cosmetic but I’m not sure if that’s really predatory as much as people enjoy sensationalism.

Pack available in the Battle.net® Shop for a limited time*. Items from the High Scholar’s Arcana transmog set will arrive in a future rotation of the Trading Post, but no sooner than three months after the pack leaves the Shop.

Most of the recent Blizz sets have been $20. I’m guessing they feel that trader tenders are worth 100 per $1 so they raised the price to $25

A day after publishing this post, Blizzard added another item to the Trading Post stocklist. For September and October 2023, you can purchase the High Scholar’s Grand Staff weapon for 500 Tenders, which matches the new High Scholar’s Transmog Set sold on the Battle.net Shop.

“Let’s add this new transmog staff that’s awesome in the trading post that’s 500 tenders lol”

“It’d be really funny we conveniently gave you 500 tenders for our new $25 transmog set that matches th staff just because :D”

Yeah not even a FOMO thing here, just gotta wait for the cosmetic if you don’t want to pay. This is about as predatory as a fat housecat.
