I imagine they are gradually fixing those egregious errors, much like guild tabards, female goblin faces, female troll tusks and fel orc faces got fixed.

Just know it uses a hook. They are very common in cheats. Hooking DX/OpenGL calls is exactly what thousands of wallhacks and such have done in games since forever. It’s tied strongly to cheating. Even without scanning the game memory, it makes it possible to gain big in-game advantages or facilitate controls for botting.
There’s no way for Blizzard to know what the hook is doing and if it offers an in-game advantage or not. But Warden will likely detect the loaded DLL and submit its checksum to Blizzard servers. That can be used to tag accounts that have used it extensively and ban them, if it’s deemed a cheat. I personally wouldn’t use it because I don’t find shining a turd worth it.
