High Realm/Home Latency Fix

For anyone who has problems with Latency, this is probably the best solution to the problem. I’ve noticed that most people use VPNs to bypass freezes, lags, and other sudden connection issues. Therefore, I thought logically and if someone else’s IP helps with this problem, then the solution lies in a dynamic IP.

And so in short. You need to set a dynamic IP in the Windows network settings, you will find the instructions from Microsoft itself at the first link.

  1. Open Settings on Windows 10.
  2. Click on Network & Internet.
  3. Click on Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
  4. Click the network connection.
  5. Under the “IP settings” section, click the Edit button.![Edit IP settings on Windows 10
  6. Use the Edit IP settings drop-down menu and select the Automatic (DHCP) option.![Enable automatic (DHCP) IP address using Settings app|
  7. Click the Save button.

I hope I helped everyone. Happy New Year, boys, peaceful skies above our heads.

And hello to the Italians from the forum who got me to use VPN and thereby find a solution to this evil problem. Otherwise, I would have bought a new router, bought a new laptop, moved to another city, changed the country, changed the planet, but it was decided in a couple of clicks.

Just FYI, most players in the U.S and Canada will have routers or other ISP equipment that manages these settings, regardless of how you configure Windows.

Yes, but still Static IP is the thing in some routers, you change it manually.

Automatic/Dynamic DHCP is the default in Windows adapter settings.

Generally if you have a static IP in your TCP/IP setting it was either done intentionally or some other app did it.
