High RAM consumption since 9.2

Hello, ever since the update WoW has been consuming my RAM about 95% lately. I tried doing all things. Lowering Graphics, Disabling add-ons, and closing off other apps but still no change. back in 9.1 I can do zoom meetings, Spotify, chrome while playing WoW simultaneously. Is anyone else affected by this or its time for me to upgrade my system?

here’s my dxdiag

This is likely your bottleneck.

A 2000 series or higher would be better and probably help your system overall.

Change to directX11. I didn’t notice any difference in graphics on mine but the ram usage went way down. From what I heard, directx12 will use as much ram as it possibly can. To put it into perspective, when I use dx11 WoW is using around 2 GB of ram but when I switch to DX12, I was at one point hitting 5GB.

DX11 Legacy runs awful on my computer so I’d go with DX11 and try that.

this helped. Thanks man! I can play WoW while Zoom/youtube without any fps drop! <3

Im having this same issue, and we shouldnt have to run DX11 to fix it.

Im running a 3080, i9 etc, when i start the game it seems ok, however after 30mins or so it can hit 9gb which is crazy, 9.2 seems to have a memory leak
