Super important, very important, like very… super important.
I noticed the beta key art (the large resolution image everyone is using for their desktop background) and the beta test page saying the beta test begins June 5th with its art, are different from one another.
The above leads me to believe that the art between Xal’atath (background) and Jaina, Anduin, Alleria, and Thrall (foreground) are separate layers.
Which means it “should” be really easy to throw the below at us:
Can we get a massive super resolution image of just Xal’atath? Super important!
Would be massively cool, for the sake of everyone, if a blue ever sees this… very important.
Edit: If someone could get someone to add this to the press kit, would be awesome.

Is Xal atath the big lady at the top?

Hopefully still voiced by Claudia Christian, who’s been doing some voices in DF: the woman centaur in the third boss encounter in Nokhud, darn near certain it was her VA during the Draenei heritage quest with the reluctant artificer, and she’s also a big VA in GW2, voicing the fem Norn PC.
And she did the voice of the spriest artifact weapon in Legion and beyond (which was Xal)

I have a request for the Xalatath art, too.
Could Xalatath please be drawn as something that isn’t a human or an elf? We see enough of those races already.
She’s not actually an elf, so she should be able to appear as whatever.

It’s interesting. She has the same kind of “vibe” in that image as the sword in Silithus.
My weird mind is reading this as if Cthulhu is making a request or Op-Ed in support of his fellow Eldricht horror comrade.

I think I’m tracking. It’s the same photo as the one in the .PNG, correct, just less compressed and a .jpeg?
They’re different, the “stars” are different and the scale of Xal’atath is different (look at where Thrall’s head under her thumb is). Size and quality are minor factors.
But that difference was just to point out that the artist that worked on it has the artwork set up in separate layers (which is usually normal) in which we should be able to get Xal’atath alone in a separate image, in SUPER MEGA resolution.
