Hi guys anyone from oce server having this problem i start the bg’s at 200 ping then soon as i see people from say gallywix server my ping goes to 500+ and stays there. is there a way to stop me getting into bg’s with certain server from say brazil

No, there’s not.
I’m not a computer wizard, but I think that the Latin American and Brazilian servers are located in Chicago. I think that the OCX servers are physically located in the Australia, so (if) a battleground is hosted there maybe that’s causing your latency?
The OCX realms are Aman’Thul, Caelestrasz, Dath’Remar, Khaz’goroth, Nagrand, Saurfang, Barthilas, Dreadmaul, Frostmourne, Gundrak, Jubei’Thos, and Thaurissan.
edit: I have no clue if this is true, but during WOD someone told me that the reason some AV games were laggy was because two of the AV servers were really old and needed to be replaced. Again, no clue if it’s true.
I’d be surprised if the servers were all still physical hardware and not virtualized.
I hadn’t thought of that, but with all the CRZ these days that would make a lot of sense.
I still have different ping when playing on my regular servier (Mug’thol) versus another server that I found was supposed to be in Chicago (Illidan). Mug’thol was supposedly on the west coast. Being from the east coast it does seem to make a difference for me to play on Illidan. About 50 ms instead of 110.

Brazil has no dedicated realm. Our ping also gets 500ms when we play on European or Oceanic realms.
