I am also experiencing these issues. I understand that while queuing for battlegrounds results in US based teams the majority of the time but I have been farming BGs for months now and only recently (a month or so) have I been lagging so bad in US teams that I literally cannot contribute.
I just attempted a battleground which turned out US and I was sitting at 7k ms, I basically sat in the graveyard waiting for my game to catch up, which it never did. Extremely frustrating.
I would say their definitely is a problem connecting to US, as it's gone from it's normal few hundred ms difference to thousands. While those affected looks minimal so far their must be some things worth trying that may help this issue? Obviously fine when playing oceanic (around 60ms). I don't know how this stuff works but could anyone recommenced some options, like flushing caches or something?
To reiterate, I have tried the following; flushing dns cache, disabling all addons to check for disruption, deleted cache folder.

I seem to be getting the same issues as you when connecting to US-hosted battlegrounds from Perth, Aus. I get 54 ping consistently out in the world but it will spike to several thousand upwards in most BGs, rendering them totally unplayable. The weird thing is it seems to have been only happening since I started playing again in the last week; I've never had issues like this before.
Getting real tired of this 350ms, give us oce matching blizzard. It's really not alot to ask.

Even !@#$ing australia has their own servers and we here, in Brazil, with tons of player have to play on US servers...jesus...imagine your WHOLE experience playing with 200+ ms dude...
Iāve had this problem for a few years too and no one on the bloody internet knows what it is.
I just got out of a BG at 10,683ms latency, it was so lagged i watched 3 waves of rez go out at spirit healer, and i was still dead waiting. Out in the world it instantly dropped to 250ms (normal for OCE to US) ā¦ why wonāt it just hold stable at 250? why the endless progressive increase? I see same the pattern every timeā¦ 300msā¦ 500msā¦ 800msā¦ 1500msā¦3000msā¦ 5500msā¦8400msā¦10600ms, i think my record was 22683ms.
Obviously anything over 500 is unplayable and this issue must be caused by SOMETHING.
And queued into another BG, instantly went 900msā¦ 2220msā¦4900ms within 2 mins of getting into the BG.

I had this issue in Australia since dragon flght came in. I donāt have this issue anymore in 2024. If you still have, grab an android phone, connect to your pc with fast USB port and stop wifi and LAN, use phone connection only.
Should fix the problem.
Also having this on arena. A sudden spike or even disconnect that throws the ping to 500+. Never happens when Iām on oce servers.
