High Ping after W10 Reset

Hey all,

I’m experiencing relatively high ping (between 300-2000ms) after a Windows 10 reset. I used the built-in Windows reset tool to keep all my personal files but I’m otherwise running a fresh Windows 10 install, a fresh WoW install, and fresh addon installs. I’ve tried switching to hardwired ethernet instead of running off WiFi, resetting my modem/router, restarting my pc, flushing my DNS, playing without addons, scanning/repairing my game files, checking for/closing background + startup processes that might be using bandwidth, setting WoW’s priority to high in my task manager, using Powershell to uninstall bloatware, and just about anything else I can think of at this point. I also used command prompt to ping a WoW east coast server and it shows a normal ping and no packet loss. I’m at a loss for what could be causing it. Before the Windows reset, I comfortably stayed around 50ms, and the 300+ I’m getting now makes arenas basically unplayable.

I’m looking for literally any other suggestions to try to fix this issue. Arenas are basically the only reason I play the game anymore, and I really want to get back to them. I would love if someone could provide additional guidance or suggestions for a fix. I’m not the most tech savvy individual, but if anyone has a suggestion and needs additional information in the form of logs or something like that, please let me know and I’ll figure out how to provide it.

Did you run windows update?

Already went to your motherboard support and downloaded the drivers for your motherboard drivers including wifi / ethernet etc?
