The quest for the highmountain tauren quest chain to unlock hasn’t popped up. And I was wondering if it was because I boosted my character and or it isn’t working. Like i really want to unlock this race but I am unable to because the quest isn’t showing up. I talked to lady syvanus and it still didn’t work. Help please!
You need to do the requirements (both Armory and the WoWhead Attunement Tracker have you at 0% completion).
Ain’t No Mountain High Enough (all major quests in Higmountain)
And Exalted with the Highmountain Tribe
So I can just travel through daenor to the highmountain tribe and start questing there?
Broken Isles (Legion)…and you will probably have to do a few quests before you can get the starter Highmountain quest. You’ll see it when you’re prompted to pick a region.
Finishing that region’s quests will get you partway through Honored rep. From there, if you really want to get HM unlocked ASAP, the fastest way is to repeatedly get 250 rep from the worm (third) boss in Neltharon’s Lair. Set dungeons to normal, go in, kill up to the 3rd boss [worm], then exit out right before encountering the final boss. (ramp up the right side from final boss) Reset all instances then fly back to HM and repeat about 130 times to get Exalted.
Strongly recommend you spec shadow for this, as click-dot-click-dot-click-dot-mindsear-mindsear-alldead on the mooks you’ll have to kill is nice to have. Also, the run up to the first boss you can skip all the mooks as they won’t follow you down.
It’s possible to do it in 7-9 minute cycles (there’s a Priest-doable shortcut that I’m not sure is appropriate to mention) from entrance of one run to entrance of next run, but it’s mind-numbing. Run YT in the background or something.
The other way is about 1-2 months of world quests. I think you need Friendly with the five factions to unlock WQ’s as well, though not a bad thing to knock down as the story’s frankly excellent in Legion and it’ll get you part the way to unlocking flight.
Once that’s all set, you won’t get prompted with anything. Go to the embassy in Orgrimmar to start a quest chain to finally unlock HM.
