Over the last several weeks I have noticed spikes of very high latency, mostly affecting combat and occasionally resulting in disconnects. The high latency is only while playing World of Warcraft, no other services I have that use internet have had the same experience.
I play exclusively World of Warcraft Classic: TBC Anniversary. The high latency occurs on all of my characters in both factions on the Dreamscythe Server. I am located US East. The latency will bounce from 70ms to in the 1000’s of ms. Sometimes the latency resolves on it’s own, other times I have to alt+f4 to close the game and restart to clear the latency.
In my experience the latency mostly effects combat i.e. cast times, weapon swing, mob movement, etc. Occasionally the latency causes delays in quest turn, looting and item use.
