High Latency

Lately, I’ve been experiencing very high latency at random times, WORLD ms goes up to 600+ its strange because I watch youtube at the same time and twitch and nothing really happens to them, only WoW lagging like crazy. I did some testings if you guys can read it and tell me if theres anything I can do on my part is really appreciated.

These two MTRs are showing the highest average latency in the 80ms+ range, but I don’t see anything in the 600ms range. This ping seems normal for your location in respect to server locations for North America. It’s also possible that a higher ping is happening outside these 10-packet tests. Plus, it looks like there might be some packet loss on the ISP hops as well.

Ultimately, it would be best to use the test suggested in the pinned threads when it comes to inspecting a network issue. Run a WinMTR until you see the high ping, or for at least 10mins. Post the results the same way.

I just did the test while playing, these are the results.

EDIT: Sorry they cant be read nicely, Ill pastebin it.

The connection looks relatively good, until it reaches the peer between Liberty and Blizzard. It jumps from 43ms to 104ms on that one hop. The best course of action is to let the ISP know about this, since they are the customer of that company between the two.
