Same thing happening to me aswell for the past couple of days. I login 50ms (which i normally get), a couple minutes later it spikes to 300ms sometimes even 1000ms. I’ve tried playing on my brothers PC and same thing.
I’ve tried just about everything to fix it. I’ve tried using a VPN same thing happens. My phone hotspot same thing happens. It has to be blizzard.

what is your network setup like? are you going through a bunch of network devices?
Wired connection ? Ethernet ?
Do you think my ethernet cable or my router is faulty?
I’m still having the same issue. It only happens with WoW on my system. Initially thought it was a RAM issue, swapped it out, and it is still happening. No other programs on my system seem to be affected by this. I am hardwired to a GB internet connection. Any thoughts?

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider~~~~I don’t fully understand how your first IP addresses are working, but if you’re connecting router -> modem -> isp and aren’t using any sort of shared connection, then I think we can ignore it.
I think something is going wrong with your ethernet cable or router or modem. You’re losing packets right from the start. I’d probably contact your ISP and see if they can see anything going wrong. you could test by connecting with a different cable right to the modem, to see if anything improves.

thing is i tried playing wow on my brothers PC and im having the same issues. I have also tried playing with my wifi, same issue.
Chiming in to say we have the same high latency issues here. Only with World of Warcraft. Only since Shadowlands released.

if it happens on a different computer, then we can rule out it being a cable or computer problem.
@Nativity - that winmtr looks ok I think. Do you use wifi? were you experiencing high latency while you ran it? it is ok to play while it runs to make sure you’re capturing a problem.

Same connection, different PC. I think it might be my router i ran a packet loss test online and im loosing 20% of packets. My router is about 5 years old
Ive been having similar issues, its only with this game. Every night since the reset on Monday the 30th from around 7:30 until i go to bed. Itll be fine for a moment then randomly start doing ‘the-running-man’ and next thing i know my latency is 1000+. Happens maybe once or twice during the daytime. Ive reset my network, cleared my interface, cache, wtf folders. powercycled my network. All have not stopped the connection error.

I began having this issue after maintenance on Tuesday 12/1. it began as .5-1.5 seconds and grew to an average of 7-8 seconds as of today (12/5). This was making the game unplayable and extremely frustrating. I was glad to find this post to know that im not alone in my issue. my wife and I both play on the same wired connection and she has not been experiencing any issues. I began to think it was a hardware issue. I have the text file and will post it. However, i was not able to simulate the problem this time around. Before recording i removed a couple of addons. I cant say for sure if these were the problem but i will add them tomorrow and see if i can replicate the issue. The addons i removed were Bagnon, Details! advanced death logging and rarescanner. My wife is running rarescanner so i dont think that was the culprit.
