I typically have extremely low ping in most games that I play outside of Blizzard but all of my blizzard games run around 60-70 ms. I am looking for support on how to lower the ping to the server ( I am located in TX so I believe it is trying to ping the Chicago servers). Any assitance would be greatly appreciated!
I just experienced around 4 digit latency in LFR.
Majority of the people in my group were experiencing major lag and kept on wiping because of it.
The only people in the group who weren’t being affected seem to be people from OCE servers.
So I’m assuming there’s a problem with the US servers.
Someone was suggesting solar flares/solar storms. I heard it could cause issues with the internet.
Spiking between 160ms and 995ms World ping here, also in the American south. Couldn’t even do a +2 Academy. My only real desire is for Blizz to acknowledge things faster and inform the players. The fact that this is so widespread and nothing has been said/done is just mind boggling.
It would cause problems with other websites and games too though - I can go play another game right after I give up on WoW and have no issues. No issues on other websites I tried either (well except for one day this forum was very slow loading).
Other games and websites aren’t hosted in the same physical location as the WoW game servers. Every connection uses a different route. Just as your dentist is (hopefully) not located inside your grocery store, you’ll take different roads (routes) to reach each.
yeah but if the sun was doing it - other websites would be affected. Just like if my packet loss on my first hop was causing all the issue why don’t I notice it anywhere else other than playing WoW.
