I am 408 with a 42 neck by tonight but for the last couple years despite always being a top geared warrior always stink at DPS.
If you look at my heroic kills I am lucky to break 30 percentile and probably average 14K in most fights on recount.
I have read the guides watched some videos and have a Razer MMO mouse all set and a good UI but cant seem to figure out what is wrong.
can anyone look at my character or logs and tell me what the main problems are? Trollking-Mal’Ganis thanks for any help.
You’ll get a much faster and probably better response asking for help and critique of logs on the warrior skyhold discord. Make sure you join that.
I’ll take a look myself and get back to you.
checked a couple fights quickly, you are casting WAY too many whirlwinds, and you are wasting hundreds of rage (by generating more rage while you’re already at 100 rage)
make sure to rampage almost the instant you can, there are sometimes situations where you dont need to, but if you’re struggling to parse well, throw the nuance out, just Rampage ASAP.
Your enrage buff uptime is typically around 55-65%, it should be closer to 70-80% uptime.
Only use whirlwind as a single target filler if you have literally nothing else to press. You’re casting more WW than Bloodthirst on a ST fight, not good. Break that habit.
I’ll type up more later, but post your logs in that discord and youll get immediate help.
Your higher iLVL weapon is in your offhand for some reason.
You also dont want two unbridled ferocity trait.
One of your ring is missing an enchant.
If you really concentrate on this. Your dps will go up and you’ll feel so much better. Switch your higher ilevel wep to main hand.
Sometimes with bloodthirst is ALMOST up, but you feel like you can get a ww in for extra damage. Just wait the half second and bt. It will keep your engrage uptime going better. That’s the pay off of not using ww.
Once I started to marginally slow down on my fury warrior. Success went way up.
I think you’ll be completely fine with minor tweak in game play. Relax. Relax. Relax.
Do you think you could post a picture of your ui and maybe a list of your relevant addons/weak auras? I know you think you have a good ui, but some of these errors people are catching indicate you might not be maintaining good awareness of your resources/abilities which often comes down to UI.
2 unbridled ferocity is not worth it, I’d take infinite fury on your helm.
Fang is a horrible trinket for fury, close to dead last iirc, the other one is middle of the pack at the best (for ST). Personally I prefer Rezans and Butchers, but the UR trinket is ok too. Also the Alchemy trinket at 415 is decent.
You have a crap load of vers, which is really low return stat for fury warrs. Try to get haste/mastery, haste/crit, or crit/mastery gear, depending on what your stat weights are.
Take siegebreaker over reckless abandon for the last tier and use it on CD.
Im dealing with the same thing. I have parsed decent a few times like in the 50s-70s but lately on progression ive been terrible. Here is a link to a mythic champs parse and in comparison to a similar ilvl it looks like my haste is super low because he is using an ability like every .98 seconds and mine are like 1.28 seconds.
Could this be a latency issue? Or input response issue? My latency is usually around 70 so it isnt that bad. Any input would be great.
I also saw I need to do a better job combining dragon roar with siegebreaker, im gonna work on that.
Edit: It wont let me post links…how do I do that?

Ok thanks for the help so far- I got the enchant on that ring but was new. will a 405 non haste weapon be that much better than a 400 with it? I will fix the unbridled problem. I also changed WW from being on the down mouse wheel to a button on the mouse so I don’t just spin it by habit a lot it appears.
I have always found that weapon dmg trumps stat allocation. With the traits available right now, crit/mast/haste are all pretty even anyway. Even with vers trailing behind, the added weapon dps more than makes up for it. I should know, I have a high vers main hand and I sim constantly.
You have to understand, your main hand weapon does a lot more damage than your offhand. That include abilities like raging blow, WW and execute.
The stats on your weapon give the same value no matter if its in your main hand or offhand. That is why you will always put your highest ilvl weapon in Main hand.
But speaking of weapon stats, i have a vers 2h 415 i could put in my offhand but havinga 410 with good stats sims better ( 20 dps shrug ) than the 415 becasue dmg isn’t as much for offhand.
My damage is HORRENDOUS as Fury. I eventually gave up on it and rerolled to DH.
Personally, I play a very ‘lose’ rotation, don’t like super strict rotation. I like VERY forgiving specs, and I don’t think that accurately describes Fury Warrior.
just put a space somewhere so it doesnt recognize it as a url
Fury is pretty forgiving of mistakes, but there are a lot of opportunities to make them. I mean rampage and SB on cooldown, always be casting, and you’re 90% of the way there.
Just going to drive something home that I feel people tend not to do a good job of explaining. Performance issues are, by and large, going to be rotation based (which some people have already pointed out), not gear based. Gearing issues, while they certainly can amount to a sizable performance loss if you’re really mucking it up, is usually not the underlying problem.
Yes, swapping your 405 to MH and 400 to OH will give you a DPS nudge, no it’s not going to fix your problems. Yes having two traits of unbridled ferocity isn’t smart because it doesn’t stack like other traits so fixing that will give you another DPS nudge. But these two things aren’t going to make you go from trash to king. You have to be making MASSIVE missteps in gearing to have that be your core issue, which would also imply you’re playing well enough that it’s not an issue. And the thing is gearing so improperly while playing properly is not a common theme you find.
If it’s ever meaningful gear situation it’s because you don’t have 2 or 4 piece (doesn’t exist in BFA) albeit azerite traits can somewhat fill this role like your unbridled ferocity situation. If it’s not that then it’s not having trinkets or some specs have some breakpoints they am for to smooth over their rotation these are less common than they were in the past so that’s less of a thing as well.
The point I’m making is this: Your #1 priority should be about playing properly. Which also means having a good UI. It’s the most crucial part to your performance. The questions you should be asking is does my UI show all the information I need to show, and not clutter up my screen with information I don’t need to see? If your UI is not set up to properly aid you in your rotation you won’t do it right, guaranteed.

So much this. Sadly blizzard takes a community that is 90% people who will never really look into their rotation and tear up logs to see where they are wrong or right. To counter this blizzard makes ilvl so easy to boost and tries to shift the focus to all mighty gear.
Gear on a person who wastes resources constantly and leaves out key parts of their rotation is useless and makes me cry.
Go into logs and look at the top parsers (start at the highest of the pack not #1. If someone is doing 30k and then 5 people down noone is breaking 23k then start at the top of the 23ks because the 30 is cheesing hard) and break down openers. Look at their resource management and focus on when they are timing their other abilities.
A 410 moving to mh from offhand isnt going to magically change a 30% parser to a 75+% parser. That comes down to the nitty gritty details of what your messing up. You cast an execute 0.1 second after your enrage falls off? % lost. You cast dragons roar without enrage? % lost. You cast whirlwind when you could have hit raging blow or bloodthirst? % lost. Your trinkets not lining up on CD with your macro and you let it sit off of CD for a minute? % lost.
Break down other peoples logs and look at their first 30 seconds of a fight. Take that to the dummy and drill your opener over and over.
Get a UI to show you what’s coming off CD and know when to save up for certain things. Also know when you are capping on resources and dont do that. Any rage over 100 is… you guessed it… a loss of %.
I am an honest believer that you can be using the worst optomised stats out there and still parse 50%+ for your ilvl so long as you understand your priority and rotation.
My suggestion that I don’t think has been mentioned would be to work on your rotation management . Something that might help if the rotation order or something is to much for you is to check out I think it is call GSE gnome sequence something its an add on that helps you with rotation macros like you kinda hinted at about the razor mouse thing but i think that’s if you are trying to have it auto cast for you and that’s not what i’m suggesting . I came across it when i was trying to help a friend who had a combat injury and it was hard for him to do so many key presses and it literally cut down the number of keys pressed in the normal roto more then half i would say .
While I personally don’t have dps issues, thanks for pointing out not stacking unbridled ferocity, somehow I missed that little tidbit. I changed it and it sims quite a bit higher. Thanks!
