High elves for both the alliance and horde

I actually like the void tentacles. And honestly one or two hair style different is not gonna make a difference. Especially when void elves getting the lighter and dark skins. I expect more hairstyles will end up being shared.

Also, I am 100% sure your more often mistaken then me.

All the Silvermoon Scholar NPCs in Telgorus have Green Eyes. There are High Elf NPCs in Telgorus as well and there are High Elves hanging out with Void Elves in Stormwind, particularly in the Mage area.

There has been in game representation of this happening in the game since Legion’s final days.

The added customization options just expands this Alliance of High-Blood-Void Elves to the players and their characters.

Delete all faction and race/class restrictions thank you goodbye.

don’t be too hasty, they said more customizations are coming for both sides, so it is possible that the blood elven hair will go to the alliance side too.

And if this can finally help bury the QQ regarding actual playable Helves backed by people having aspirations to own Quel´thalas in-game, the better.

Most of the helfer community will be satisfied… MAYBE WE CAN FINALLY BURY THIS DEAD HORSE, GUYS AND GALS!!!

Well if ever there is another faction war Silvermoon most likely gonna end up the next Lordearon.

(Commentary): The only Blood Elf hairstyles that should go to the Void Elves would be Vereesa’s and Arator’s, just because those two are actually Alliance and have been depicted in other media with those hairstyles. To be absolutely fair, Vereesa’s hairstyle was based off of one human females had in vanilla anyways. At most I’d say give the Void Elves three hairstyles for each gender from Blood Elves, but compensate in kind and give three Void Elf hairstyles to Blood Elves. There’s at least one Void Elf female hairstyle I know a few Blood Elf players would love to have.

(Speculative): I’m hoping that with this change they’ll also update all of the High Elf NPCs in the Alliance to use the Void Elf data, and customization there for High Elves.

Wait for it.

Wouldn’t surprise me. Aren’t high elf eyes bugged out in the alpha anyway? Maybe they’re about to be replaced by the void elf options.

These are the Story Forums… I know you are like a GD regular that got lost and suddenly found itself here, but I at least expect you to know what most Alliance players are asking for under the name “playable High Elves” and how a mere skin color will probably NOT be good enough for the most hardcore ones -but then again, they basically want Alliance Silvermoon, so I say the less devs listen to them the better-

Btw, we have had playable Helves since TBC, dearest…

Maybe the ones already shared with the Humans (which frankly, is no loss??) Nonetheless, Belves still don´t have to dealt with tentacle hair and that´s a win in my books…

I was never comfortable with giving the Alliance the most popular Horde race (albeit one that’s locked as an alt but still), but I REALLY don’t like the pattern that if you whine enough about something, eventually Blizzard will cave.

Totally called it. BEs on Horde was one of those decisions that never really made sense without a mountain of after-the-fact justification, and was originally for the population. With Alliance being the small population now, they were willing to make decisions that made even less story sense just to put psuedo-Tolkien elves back on the other side.

The BEs lost what made them most interesting anyway with the Sunwell resolution, so I’m not sure why some people are unhappy.

I will continue to not play elves myself.

Sorry but if it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck and looks like a duck…

I call what I see gal… that comment is worthy of one of the dozen of GD threads, not here.

Look at the positives. They caved yes, but did it in the less harmful and most balanced way -caving to the Helfers whining proper would had been Velves getting the Belf skintones 2 months after launch while Belves STILL didn´t get blue eyes nor beards - and excused with the usual “buut, buut!! we already worked on Belves, maybe later” BS M.O. of the devs.

FYI, Alliance Helf NPCs in Vanilla ARE a retconn. Yours made even less sense.

Nooope Zerde, with the way devs acted regarding this? I´m even more convinced Silvermoon will NEVER be updated and will permanently be part of the Belf exclusive stuff.

This customization basically satisfies most of the customers asking for a “playable Helf avatar” (making your already dwindling muh WC2 Quel´thalas qq group smaller) with literal ZERO lore modifications. They didn´t took stuff from us just to give it to you, just shared it.

And a skin color is quite less troublesome lorewise than a city.

Congratulations, I… already said that high elves on Alliance made even less sense, thanks for agreeing with me?

This is Blizzard, “identity” and “loyalty” and “character” always come second to “making the latest narrative really really cool before you stop to think about it”

(Commentary): It should remain Blood Elf exclusive. Let the Alliance High Elves/Void Elves use Dalaran. Tired of Horde being forced to use Dalaran and of it sitting out faction conflicts when the Horde has both Blood Elves and Nightborne for magic nations.

I dont even know what your arguing high elves are for both alliance and horde that is a fact honey.

also imagine still thinking silvermoon is ever gonna be updated lol

I know, tell that to Zerde. The Alliance didn´t even get back Lordaeron and he thinks he won already ffs…

Oh, sorry. I read the phrase as implying the oposite -you know the typical hardcore helfer stuff-.

Gal, they´re letting trolls customize as Forest ones even when we STILL kinda treated them as glorified mobs and kicked their butts in BfA… the way I see it devs are just trying to open the most global customization options possible to avoid actually implementing races and modifying the lore.

It´s just cosmetic and just to say later “but, you can RP as it!! no need for us to change the story!!”.
