why would this group join the alliance over their own people
Maybe Liadrin says something mean to them so they go alliance.
Please, understand that people are individuals, I remember you were capable of discerning this. This individual in particular has stayed away from the forums because of the constant cognitive dissonance, so stop lumping people together.
And what do you mean what am I referring to as sharks. Literally shark, Segacedi, the Silver covenant were feeding their own people, the ones wearing red undies, to a literal shark.
That is not something someone with self control and reserved would do.
But according to you, if they are more assimilated to the Alliance, they are more reserved in their methods.
So again, which is it, because theyāre certainly not assimilated enough to be āstoicā and āreservedā, but then they are becauseā¦ why exactly?
While I genuinely agree with Nightborne making sense going Horde, I had to laugh
Could work, if they are established as being separated for 10,000 years, look completely different, and were changed by a completely different source of magic.
Oh so this was just a personal attack aimed at me? Got it I thought you were lumping people together, so I just felt the need to point out a case can be made that from others POV your side does what you said.
Because thatās something Iāve seen you, as the individual, saying that they are Alliance.
But then you say that those doing crazy things to reach their goals are not assimilated enough.
You contradicted your own words.
Iād be love to see high elves get their own zone with quests similar to the Suramar line. I enjoyed that story and actually cared about a lot of characters.
But then they wouldnāt be high elves anymore. It would make sense to be something completely different.
You know, like the Nightborne are.
So you the individual are arguing Silver Covenant is not Alliance aligned?
I never said this, I said High Elves are portrayed as more reserved, and careful towards magic since they lost the Sunwell, and I would assume since getting it back they havenāt gone crazy on experimenting with the Void. In fact they havenāt a group of Blood Elves did, which was my point.
As long as they are similar lorewise Iād accept it. Iād prefer our actual high elves with an altered model though.
Itās because they arenāt their people.
And I am confused is the shark a metaphor for Jaina? Because if so case in point the BEās showed no remorse for HE loss of life at Theramore because
I mean, the Silver Covenant literally formed an armed militia to oppose the introduction of the Sunreavers and the Horde to Dalaran.
By what stretch of the imagination are they the same people?! lol
Nope, you seem to be.
I know they are under the command of a neutral city. Youāre the one that seems to think that people are assimilated if they only behave in a certain way.
And I said that, for a race that has close to no development (and Iām being generous) theyāve still shown reckless behaviour when it involves magic and even when it doesnāt.
But you said, and I quote:
Ergo, they either havenāt assimilated enough or, they simply are following their nature in the same way blood elves have.
Yeah, how dare they honor those that sacrificed their life to protect their kingdom, stinky blood elves not kissing up to humans pout.
Except that the only thing theyād share would be a long, lost past. Whatever happened in that hypothetical island would make them entirely different.
But then again, changing something so it would be even genetically different doesnāt seem to be well recieved eitherā¦
Outside of the Silver Covenant they already have.
āabsorbed into other culturesā
theyre a dalaran based militia. they are neutral. unless dalaran picks a side again(it wont), that means they are not alliance aligned. this is also in line with ions āno hubs or settlementsā comment
Oh I see whatās the problem. Youāre acting as if Silver covenant agents dangling their own, green eyed people, over the maws of a literal shark that even has his own name, never happened.
ā¦and on top of that, they are everything people hate about the Blood Elves, but worst.
You not accepting their decisions doesnāt change that they arenāt the same people anymore.
Inf fact, itās not even relevant to the discussion at all.
