A cameo in someone elseâs story.
You forget they were there with the kirin tor, they werent a relevant group outside of elisandres insult.
As for Alleria, Lorthemar was pleased to see her. He was unhappy she was there for politics, and advocated for her to see the sunwell. Hence the daughter of quelthalas.
Only Rommath was wary, and only because of what she had become, which liethemar disregarded in error.
So no, not wary.
Outside the Silver Covenant I didnât think there was still much bad blood.
if there was it was absent on the vindicaar. plus they were fighting the legion with farstriders most of the time
theramore. 'nuff said
HmmâŚthis is true. What else is true is that many of them in the Silver covenant is that many of them experience some âDislikeâ for other races. Especially other elves. But I still think that these flaws could be turned into an interesting race personally.
I would say from what we have seen they are more Blood Elf like in personality⌠they seek power, they seem a bit vain I think there was a line in the beginning when you first create a VE of a VE introducing you to the mission board she kinda had a âoh so this Stormwind⌠itâs no Silvermoonâ sort of line unless that was another NPC but I do believe it was the introducer VE to the adventure board.
That is why I support the HE request but love Void Elves and see potential. The Void Elves play on my love for Blood Elves, but arenât very Alliance Quelâdorei like, Alliance Quelâdorei seem more reserved stoic teacher like calm or overly the top militant like. Where as Void Elves just strike me as scholarly Blood Elves who went too far in searching for power. So we do know about them, and they also do need to be expanded on as well.
Fair. I think itâs too soon to say though. We know Umbric is actually pretty cool and reserved though, so Iâm not entirely sure what the others will be like. He also seems to recognize that his hubris and their search for power was a mistake. Itâs one of the first lines he has in their recruitment scenario after being transformed.
There was also the Purge of Dalaran⌠though what Iâm more getting at is that a lot of people who argue for playable Alliance high elves dislike Blood Elves because they are haughty⌠though Blood Elves have been open to other races and even once allied with the Naga. The Silver Covenant looks down on even other high elves which is part of why the Nightborne arenât willing to work with the Alliance. Though that could make an interesting story, itâs not what many posters asking for them want. What they dislike about Blood Elves and Void Elves is their perceived lack of purity⌠I donât think the Alliance high elf purity is the good kind - and I donât think it is meant to be.
But the fact that he sought the power at all seems inherently more Blood Elf in nature.
We may see High Elves in the rift now that the VEâs have Alleria to vouch for them⌠but they donât strike me as the type to initiate Void research in an attempt for power. Thus I think the VEs being former BEs make sense to be more BE personality wise. Which is a double insult imo to players who wanted Alliance Quelâdorei to be playable
Just because the Kirin Tor is neutral, doesnât mean the Silver Covenant is neutral.
Iâm sorry but are we still doing this?
Acting as if High elves are not stupid reckless when it comes to meeting their goals either?
Those poor High elves from Quelâlithien, no one likes to remember about them unless they want to bring up the exiles.
Are you sure every single one of them was still there? For all we know, some of them couldâve moved to Stormwind or something, before that event happened. Plus, Vereesa was sent away with Shandris before the bomb fell. Pretty sure they brought a few troops with them.
Those are pretty good points. I guess weâll just have to wait and see. Iâm actually pretty excited about Void Elves. I hope them and the Alliance will start to form some kind of bond in Shadowlands. Maybe theyâll struggle with their affliction and the Alliance will offer them air or something. New lore characters is also something I really want for the Void Elves. Pls, Blizz
Arguing is pointless. I doubt anyone on either side will change their minds.
Blood Elves are much more in your face and part of their beginning theme was a break from their HE culture which involved a level of self motivated power seeking.
So no Midare. No one is saying High Elves havenât in the passed been magically motivated. But yes they are more reserved and since the introduction of the Blood Elves have been portrayed as being more reserved and particularly careful, especially since they view BEâs actions with such dislike. Some of us are talking about Alliance High Elves, and that includes with how they are currently portrayed and have been portrayed, not what they did 1000 years ago or what have you.
Yup.
Correct.
People around here occasionally need a good swat to simmer down.
they were priests and maybe a couple mages remember? why would they abandon jaina now after coming this far? they are dead
yea, i mean you got void elves. its not happening now and this ârequestâ is having a negative impact. i expect vereesa will be killed by sylvanas and blood elf shadowlands customization will finally end this
Yeah well, that kind of happens when the majority of the race has story development and advancement.
But then, you still have plenty of examples of high elves doing stupid things in order to obtain what they want.
Or weâre also forgetting about the lady asking you to steal magical artifacts? I guess those in Terokkar only matter unless itâs to bring up that one NPC that talks about the supposed differences between her and her own people.
And heck, not even when magic itâs involved, but going as far as tossing people to a shark, yeah, thatâs something someone with self control and reserved would do.
Midare, long time no see here
How have you been?
Awful, thanks for asking.
You?
