This gets brought up a lot but for what ever itâs worth when you were an anti I thought you were always more than decent and courteous. And you changed opinions on High Elves but still remain courteous and decent and I respect that.
âSo, in other words,â
Translation: I am about to make another assumption without basis because I need to create a situation which supports my views.
The real answer: I donât care to waste my time digging through your post history.
If you think so that is fine, but everyone knows different.
Nope. Games are designed first, the lore comes second.
WoW is based around being an MMO, the lore is written after. Which is why the story ad quests for the Horde was left unfinished in Vanilla but the Allianceâs wasnât. If lore was so important, WoW would have released later.
I meanâŚI am 90% sure Iâve done more content than you and done so without needing to know thelore in the game.
Or maybe, I know the reasons, but can still disagree.
What? You think once people know the reasons theyâll just agree with you? That isnât how it works.
Ah yes. The AMA is clearly not substantial while a tweet that doesnât even confirm or deny the question is crucial and telling. Good to know, especially when the tweet apparently followed the AMA.
Yeah⌠Like his boss coming to him afterward and saying âyou canât tell players that we did a poll and decided that the Horde was too ugly so we came up with this really silly story to give them Blood Elves. Players keep pointing it out, so fix it.â
Thereâs no clarity because Blizz isnât transparent and they have an image to try and save if they want customers to keep buying their products, but please remember how they responded to the idea of vanilla servers.
Except that the only individuals pointing it out were a minority with an axe to grind, who still continue playing the game despite having their fit.
Even then, as I said, the situation could be a million things. Who says the boss man came in to say anything? As you said, there is a lack of transparency and it could also be him simply remembering the matter with greater detail than before, or recalling information he did not recall at the time.
It happens quite often, which is why I write down important events.
So when someone asks if they were added because Asian GFs and not vanilla population numbers gets told that they were added for various reasons including some specifics, thatâs less compelling than "Oh
Oh wow, so I went to the reddit in question, expanded the thread past the post that has the vaguely remembered and what do I find?

Always felt like the Blood/High elf schism was a perfect opportunity to have the first neutral race (like what they did with pandaren years later). Was there ever a concept in TBC that high elves would come back to alliance as a playable faction?

Not that I recall.
Hence, why I subscribe to the belief it was multiple factors.
I mean, thatâs all I ever said, and look at all the people acting like Iâm being unreasonable for saying that someone saying they vaguely remember something isnât the end all and be all of the discussion. (And some of them trying to push this idea that since their idea isnât backed up by any of it, nothing is.)
People donât like letting go of pre-conceived notions. They wish to suggest everyone is basic but them.
Kirela, I found a thread that was fun
Back when I was an Anti, on the old forums, I used to say to the proâs quite a fair bit, âso how much did the devs pay you to kiss there ***â. I got forum vacations some of the times for it, but said it quite a fair bit. These days though, I just avoid try and avoid making toxic post like this. But I was no flower child when I was an Anti. I did troll quite a fair bit.
I do admit, I was in the wrong a lot of the times when I was an Anti. Even when the High Elf Primer thread, I did make a couple of post, one which I deleted, but the other one saying âthis thread was just made to troll the proâsâ, I was in the wrong with that too. But that isnât really being toxic or calling people trolls or anything.
Well thats good you donât do that anymore! I was never on the old forums so I canât speak to that, but on here I think I saw you post when you were an anti, and then now a pro and youâve always been logical, factual, kind and well spoken. And passionate about both Blood Elves and High Elves!
Iâm irked we didnât get the Hardcore Survivor Blood Elves from WC3 and instead got a bunch of squatters retconned in.
Blood Elves going Horde was never an issue with me. Just that they never made an attempt to help them fit in the faction and they always felt like they didnât belong.

Lol, so you think you have done more than me, but yet, you admit that you ignore the lore by claiming that you donât need to know the lore.
This truly is the tragedy, no? We couldâve had brutal, elitist masters of the arcane, pushed to the edge of extinction, half-withered and out for blood. Instead we have⌠Californian supermodels and valley girls.
Hello Dreta.
Hello dear. Intentional word choice
This made me laugh. Sums it up about right too.
At least void elves are edgy enough to satisfy the original concept for the blood elves. And theyâre on the right faction
I donât really look at Horde or Alliance as being either the right or wrong faction though. But I wish there was actually less gaps within the lore to why the Blood Elves joined the Horde for it to actually make perfect sense.
And as for Void Elves, I wish they had more lore to them, not something that was made up right on the spot.
So relieved you recognized me! I have such an identity crisis as prefer my Blood Elf but he doesnât have T3 like my Void Elf.
Blood Elves and Void Elves tie for my favorite race! Though I do prefer Horde as you know.
