Like personally, I don’t think there’s much to talk about HE’s until next exp if there’s a time jump or something. Maybe if AR get more customization before that IDK.

Yeah there isn’t really anything to debate anymore, it’s pretty much done.

I think there’s supposed to be a separate AR pass for customization coming later. People are hoping for 9.1 I believe.

That being said, there are still some core races that kinda got the short end of the stick and could use more.

I believe Blizzard might have mentioned new customization options being a continuing thing in general, so hopefully they do go this route.

Yeah. I think we will be getting an AR customization pass, and while I hope is now on 9.1, I’m leaning more to it happening next expansion TBH, and that’s more likely we will see more stuff for Core Races in SL’s cycle.

Honestly best case scenario we get some stuff even if minor every patch heh, but that’s unlikely; also we might get AR stuff sooner if it’s a- something porter from their CR, or b- something that also gets used on their CR.

Basically, which is nice this is a positivity thread I would say. But yeah, from time to time, I guess someone from either side showing up saying “Uhm actually REAL HE’s aren’t playable” or “Well technically you are still Void Elves and only Blood Elves are actually High Elves” will keep popping up.

they are not. Highelves such as silver covenant are not playable YET. Keep your agendas about blood and void elves away from HIGHELVES.

Sure, but do you think the “High Elf Positivity ” Thread is the best place to go “UHM High Elves aren’t actually playable??” Like, read the room?

This thread sure as hell has gone places… and yup, for the most part it seems the debate regarding “High Elves” is settled (at least for Shadowlands).

I´m more lax regarding appearance as long as devs protect the integrity of the actual relevant Belf stuff: NPCs, territory, narrative. The Helfers can get all the lovey dovey storylines they want as far away as possible fdrom Belves as far as I´m concerned tyvm.

I´m still trying to understand what you people find so “amazing” over the SC High Elves… they follow Veeresa for God´s sake in everything, stupidity included.

I´d say actual High Elf fans deserve better.

How many times does one look at the “tag” related to characters in game again? Cause as far as I remember one barely sees green/red or purple/orange and that´s it.

Deviating a little from the theme… how did you find the final chapter for the Venthyr campaign, Midare? I for one am quite happy all things considered (Kael´thas MVP).

I´d say actual High Elf fans deserve better.

I would say due to that fact we trained with them and have their mounts and tabard, we are pretty close to them as alliance players would be my guess.

But that´s just cosmetics and glorified average questing -and I suppose this is enough for some people but as a lore nerd, I deffinitely can´t see the “appeal”.

To each their own I guess… as far as the people clamoring for their own one dimensional pet race without messing up my own fav race I guess I won´t stand in your way (unfortunately this isn´t what usually happens with the people obssesed over the SC).

I repeat as a lore nerd… I usually check side lore material (novellas, short stories, etc.) regarding my favorite races. And SC is nonexistant in those.

Well I remember all the dumb excuses why not to have the Alliance High Elves be playable to include because you couldn’t tell the difference in the game, all were lame and actually proved false pretty much nowadays especially with the release of the Ren’dorei.

Is it just me or is the cycle continues to repeat itself? People want actually High Elves as Race, Antis come in, Stuff happens, and then when people want hair colors for void elves, Antis or those who are 100% against them comes in people fight over it and it’s the same thing.

At this point through folks Void Elves are already playable High Elves/Silver Covenant. All that’s missing Hair Color Variety that is Blonde, Red, Brown, and etc.

Heck some might as well also ask for weird tentacles like mouths, Hair, and etc for Void Elves. There’s not really much to say other than the same thing. I only come here to get updated on the news or talk about something else.

Blizzard has provided us the options to rp as we wish. A few hair colors are hardly a hinderance.

Chat a lot cleaner though using the I Option. As for the Ren’dorei after playing all these year then having a AR just dumped out of nowhere into the Alliance just didn’t feel right, especially when the High Elves been there the whole time with the Alliance participating in the story.
