High Elf POSITIVITY Thread 😎

Well, I can hope for the players who want them, but it’s just been such a letdown for me personally. AR after AR and there’s nothing for me personally. Then there’s something I was excited for and… It ends up Horde! I don’t play Horde anymore so that’s a waste for me.

Just one race please. One. That’s all I ask.

I want AR’s that are properly new races, such as Sethrak and the Vulpera.
Nightborne were designed badly, and are based off night elves anyway.
Void elves, same thing.

Now…yes…a few AR’s are an exception.
Zandalari, Kul Tirans, Mechagnomes, and Vulpera are all unique in their appearance and design. Which is good, but I want something completely new like the Vulpera.
AR should simply be renamed “New look for an existing race.”

ONE questline

If it doesn’t matter for what I want then same for you.

…uncluding you.

Ion? Is that you? No? Then quit misrepresenting.

Sethrak have NOTHING until WoD and then NOTHING after.

always ok when you say it, though, right?

I get that.

While I agree more “unique” races would be preferred I also want the other races that have always been there to have racials, a home, voice lines, ect.

Wildhammer, high elves, Jinyu and such.

Mok’Nathal, ogres, Taunka, Raventusk, hell even the hozen.

They’re already in the factions involved. AR’s would have been the best way to add them finally.

I really don’t like as much having them added as customizations.

Better than the zero for high elves. <_<

Where did I state it does not matter what they want? I get you enjoy RPing a viking on the forums, but doesn’t proper RP etiquette involve not making things up what other people say?

And? That doesn’t refute what I stated in anyway.

Yeah, the devs have never stated why they chose void elves over high elves. /s
Ion literally stated it.
Metzen already explained blood elves.
Its just you sticking your fingers in your ear at this point, or eyes.

And?
You’re not refuting what I stated.
High elves don’t have nearly the presence people believe they do, and the presence they do have, is almost always marked by the blood elves being present as a form of civil conflict. Even then, they had no presence in WoD, and their presence in Legion was predicated on the Kirin Tor, and they’ve had no presence in BFA.

Sethrak may have been present for a single expansion, but they offer much more potential than high elves ever would.

Mmm…I’d disagree with you. If its the same race just a difference in appearance, customization would be good because it means slots can be put for more unique races.
I’d be down if they made their racial look different in some way.

Sethrak in WoD?

I mean Vulpera didnt have anything until Cata.

That’s fair.

I think my biggest gripe is with the Wildhammer customization wise. Those may look very similar to ironforge dwarves but they would almost certaintly have different racials and voices.

Raventusk as well for the same reasons.

That could work. Not the best in my opinion but that could work.

Maybe we’ll get different voice options!

I honestly don’t think sethrak would be alliance anyway.

Then what was the whole Kael Thas campaign about in WC3. We were playing that part in TBC. But WC3 came first.

They are definitely poised to go horde.

We talk about ways blizzard could move them more alliance in the Sethrak discussion thread. Come on over and we’ll talk your ear off.

Not sure how they would be Horde, we slaughtered alot of them defending the Vulpera.

I wouldn’t say they are more poised to Horde. We do more with them, yes, but its not anything the alliance couldn’t do.
I would argue they should go alliance because their cultural practice definitely suits the alliance. Very much the notion of “there are ways we do things and those who go against them are HERETICS!”

That was the faithless. They don’t count.

Us Horde only helped like 1 Sethrek lol.

Faithless mostly. They were experiencing a Civil War is sorts and the Horde help the Devoted to win and reintegrate the Faithless back into their ranks. Not only that but you save Sethraliss.

Blizzard would have to retcon a fair bit for this to be true.

Horde does a lot more than the alliance and saves their loa Sethraliss.

I agree the Alliance does fit better mentality wise for the Sethrak and they could make this work even now.

Given the Devoted have the reigns it likely won’t be because of heretical anything though.

Well the horde already killed the leader of the faithless and brought the return of Sethraliss.
I don’t see how the alliance can do that unless some new dire things start to happen.

That’s the faithless, the group of sethrak that’s friendly is mostly helped by the horde.

Yeah then you didn’t pay attention during the Vol’dun quest line. Roughly half the zone is about helping the devoted sethrak against the faithless sethrak if you play horde.

Naw, not even, they can just have questlines involving the alliance to make them lean to the alliance. Even restoring Sethraliss’ power to its immense potential, or saving them from a threat. The Loa represent balance, and in Shadowlands, balance is damaged.

I just want to be a snake man that screams “DIE HERETIC!”
