I would like to bring the evidence of Rulen Lightstreap to the Council of Nerds.
He is a “Paladin Trainer” near the Stormwind portal in Northrend Dalaran. He wears the High Elf tabard and everything.
I would now like to steer the Council of Nerds attention to the Void Elf race. The closest thing the Alliance are going to get to represent the High Elves that have always existed as part of the Alliance in game.
Alliance High Elf trainer? Alliance High Elf Race?
Thus concludes my argument… Void Elf paladins please
Any Void Elf related stuff will more likely go through Champion En’galad, who was added to the Paladin Class Hall in Dragonflight. I would imagine that would be the most likely reason they added a new High Elf Paladin in patch 10.0.0.
Alright, it’s a little ridiculous this post was flagged by a bunch of people upset all because I was pointing out a single character in WoW which supports Void/High elf paladins on the alliance.
How in the world is this seen as spam or offensive? Y’all hate elves that much? Really?
You have a Human Paladin already. You are already the peak essence of Paladinship.
Half-Elf actually.
And I was seriously thinking about making a troll post with something like the topic “Delete Blood elves/Void Elves, give Alliance High Elves!”
and then putting in the post something like “What’s everyone favorite pizza” or something.
Anyone who mentions helves gets reported. That’s just standard operating procedure here on GD.
That being said, I too would like a velf pally since I know it would anger a lot of nerds and that’s how I get my Jolly’s. I already have my belf pally but being on horde for a pally is objectively wrong.
That’s ridiculous. And the people doing the mass reporting just because they dislike elves for some reason should get suspended from the forums for a bit until they can learn to be reasonable.
The Alliance, yes. The playerbase, no. If you want a High Elf Paladin so bad, then I have some great and exciting news for you; make a Blood Elf Paladin with the numerous High Elf customization options. Yes! This already exists in the game and is right there waiting for you!
This is the most troll type of response to this kind of thing. I swear.
Everyone knows that Blood Elves and High Elves are biologically the same.
For most people, what stands out about High Elves, is the fact that they were the ones who allied with the Alliance of Lorderon and Arathi, who decided to stay with thier new allies/war buddies/families in some cases. Instead of becoming a Blood Elf.
From an RP standpoint it’s more then just Blue Eyed Classic LotR looking Elves. From a gameplay perspective, they’re the race of Elves that have essentially always allied with Humans, and by extension the Alliance.
As the Devs have always said “We’re not playing ALL Night Elves, or ALL Trolls. Playable races are specifically factions of people from those races. Not all Jungle Trolls are Darkspear members. But all player Trolls are Darkspear.”
Granted this was before they gave us things like the Sand Troll skins, and Wildhammer tattoos. Telling us that we can RP with Exiles Reach, to be any kind of subrace we want.
Regurgitating the tired sentence of “High Elves are on the Horde, and waiting”. Is edgier then a DH talking about thier sacrifices at this point.
As time goes on we’ve seen more and more high elf paladins (though few named) joining the ranks of the Argent Crusade and the Silver Hand. High Elven paladins are very clearly a class that would be available to them.
And since Blizzard is going to add all the classes to all the races, per a few interviews already, I don’t doubt that we’ll see Void Elf paladins soon enough.
(Also despite people’s random belief of it, the Void Elves can indeed use the Light.)
