Completely agree. Nothing in WoW really comes close to what drow are, we typically don’t get to play as villains

Don’t say that, then we’ll never see high elves.

I checked a few resources and all of them label him as a former or secondary leader, which is effectively true.

Where did you find a source labeling him as the current leader of the Silver Hand?

TSR made it clear, long ago, that Drow and the other elf races had a common ancestor. There was a war; the Drow were defeated and forced underground. Their unique coloring comes mostly from the radiations of the Underdark world they live in.
source material: D3 Vault of the Drow 1978 TSR all rights etc.

Hey, I helped in the purge too.

Sorry, Alliance will never be made playable.

Eh, it’s a pretty stock humanoid body with grey skin and white hair and short pointed ears. There’s lots of things he looks like he could be.

thats odd, cause it also says elves come from
whats it called, the other dimensional place where the fae are.

he even stands like a belf, with his hips jutting forward and his arms back. bet that was the inspiration for the male belf idling stance.

Elf looks like an elf: Shocking!

a very specific elf, in this case. a drow with a panther pet guardian, disillusioned with the evil of his former society. even has echoes of the belf story.

Except blood elves aren’t evil and never have been. Unlike drow.

Also I thought you were talking about night elves, pick a lane.

It’s a pretty bog standard 3/4 pose, not anything special

no, i mean the former society = the highborne or even the alliance. just the concept of a drow leaving his former digs, because he deems them to be evil. i think in drizzt’s story they are trying to kill him, which follows kael’thas story, too. and didnt the highborne who separated and went to quelthalas do so to escape the night elves laws regarding arcane magics? which was a death sentence

pick a lane when they are all drow? hehe

It has happened in a sense. You’re playing as close to one as you should be allowed on Alliance.

What I’m playing is the type of High Elf you’re looking for. Sure, the Blood Elves changed their name from High Elves and their views, but the 10% that was left after Arthas, still lives in Silvermoon. The very few that linger around Alliance are abomination that diluted their blood with filthy Humans.

Feel free to create one and lets all look forward to all the beautiful customization’s they will get in Shadowlands.

its not fair i have to be on the faction that every so often goes bonkers and tries to genocide the alliance, if i want to play a gentlewoman elf, refined and highly civilized, adept at higher forms of magic, and skilled at delicate forms of art. no, i must go to the land of spikes, mostly populated by males with oversized pectorals, who frequently engage in chest pounding rituals and frequently insult my kind cause they think civilized behavior is only for women. that doesnt sound fun, to be honest. hehe
