The vast majority of High Elf NPCs are Alliance. The only ones I recall right now that aren’t are those from the Kirin Tor and a other neutral/hostile factions (I believe there’s one in Ratchet).

You sure are frightened.

Yeah but Sin’dorei are Quel’dorei.

Thing is, the race changed name because they lost their home and king and about everything they had.

The green eyes came later and it’s more an effect from those who were thirsty for a source of magic.

The same scenario you encounter in Suramar feeding Mana crystal to the Nightborn.

Void Elves lore don’t really do them justice. But the void tendrils and tentacles and echoing voice is a clear transformation.

I can see why some Elves would be happy to hang out with Void Elves however.

Our shattered people might have relatives or friends.

But it’s not a tango.

So no, not a tango.

Yes! More positivity, please!

Good vibes only for my favorite playable race. :raised_hands:

i’m a queldorei, who was renamed a blood elf, who then was subjected to a tainted sunwell and large fel crystals radiating my homelands. then, for some strange reason, i thought it was important to study the void, was in an accident that turned my skin blue and then sindorei said, get out you’re dangerously infected with void.

so i got out and the dude who led the experiment said, guess we’re the children of the void, now. or something like that. but racially, i’m a queldorei, renamed sindorei, renamed rendorei. only diff between me and you is i was in a science accident.

You have the history of one, you were by birth. That’s correct, probably have some traditions as well and cultural trait.

But they are clearly people who’ve gone through a rebirth.

It’s like if a undead would call himself a human. Not quite how it works.

undead are humans. you didnt know that?
and i am not dead. or undead. i just have some wiggly parts from a science accident. we dont call people with physical deformities not human because they are deformed. i still walk and run like a high elf. i still dance like a high elf. i still cast and melee like a high elf. i look identical to a high elf in full gear and have the exact same poses and idling animations. only difference is, i was in a science accident.

Honestly speaking. I like what they tried to do with Void Elf but I am truly sad it did not got expended and they were just pulled into war.

They have a lot of potential, and the Alliance had a real chance to shine being the faction that harness most of the light and the void.

Most the writing has been so bad around it.

But the scientific experiment made it that they were cursed and transformed forever waking to madness.

The physical shape has little difference. Though I imagine there would be probably a bit more of caved-in cheeks.

And yes I know in game they look very close and that doesn’t trouble me at all. I quite enjoy Void Elves. And the best part is that they’re blue from head to toe.

we already had a blue tentacle race - the lovely/handsome draenei extra-azerothians. the wiki says our transformation is permanent. not exactly fair considering when i was a blood elf, a naaru said, hey, i can fix that fel infection. but the wizard doesnt have any naaru in his bag of tricks to fix my void infection.

lucky duck.

O.o

Offer a Kaja cola

p.s. i always raise the room temp with this bit o’ lore.

did you know world of warcraft is based in part on the dungeons and dragons game? forgotten lands, i think it is. and that we currently dont have any actual elves in the game, as elves are from another dimension not unlike the emerald dream, though it isn’t a land of forgetfulness. and they share that land with the fae creatures. no elves or fae are evolved from trolls. with the exception of the dark elves, otherwise known as drow.

all wow elves are a deriative of the drow. this is why the highborne, nightborne and night elves, are all in various drow skin colors. the queldorei are an evolution of the night elves, who are just paler skinned drow. you, are a drow. so am i.

Are you talking about lineage 2 now?

you dont know what dungeons and dragons is?

Of course I do. Warcraft it self was based off Metzen’s DnD campaign.

and we are drow elves or dark elves. you are too. so am i. currently, wow doesnt have elves, just drow.

Suuuure. I’ll pretend I surf in your drift. Let’s go backstab all the Gnomes we come across Drow sister.

all wow elves are descended from dark trolls. you are too. so am i.

here’s wiki excerpt on dnd’s drow

The word “drow” is from the Orcadian and Shetlandic dialects of [Scots] an alternative form of [trow], which is a cognate with [troll].

drows descend from trolls. same bat time, same bat channel.

we need some actual elves. i’m just afraid they’d be blizzarded to be orange with polka dots and two foot tall. lol mushrooms sprouting on their feet. something edgy since blizz has an issue with having actual elves in the game.

/raises eyebrow while stepping on your toe

healgem/sapphire/hyperspace alt.

whats that new shadowlands zone with the fae
ardenweald? that would’ve been a perfect other dimensional zone to introduce actual elves into the game but erm, i guess the original devs only liked drow. at least we get to see the land of the fae

Spoiler alert

???

Night elves are so clearly wood elves.

Not that DnD lore matters in the slightest in regards to WoW.
