Hate to break it to you but most people saw them as a waste of an AR slot, not just fandoms you cherry picked.
You can’t make the race that has largely been the comic relief of WoW and make them aesthetically worse and expect a brilliant reception.

They were. They’re even still around. They’re called Blood Elves. Confused? You see when the High Elves lost a ton of their population they changed their names to honor their fallen brethren. Changing what you’re called does not change your race. Good night.

If you hate how people treat ARs you’re a fan of, you should make a thread about it, most people find mechagnomes distasteful.
But it doesn’t fit your agenda of being against player requests that way does it?

Wish I could find this overwhelming proof on the 15+ high elf threads I’ve been in with them actively roasting mechagnomes fans, too bad I haven’t or it isn’t actually a thing.
Like most overreactions, I’m sure you saw it once and claimed it as the status quo.

If by holier than thou, you mean, the high elf request is actively more popular than the mechagnome request was, then yes, it is, because it was not only around longer, a larger number of people were actively asking for it.
When people asked for mechagnomes, they were asking for robot gnomes, not diaper babies.
I have no issues with anyone liking anything because it doesn’t affect me, but being hateful because one request is more popular than another or you saw one example of bullying and declared that the status quo, is cherry picking your outrage.
Oh I meant the Sethrak and high elf communities as a generalization.
