High Elf compromise

how much? its just a few of the same people spamming, go to their megathread and you will se thousands of comments of the same people

th situation was so dire that blizzard had to remove then and contain in one thread, it was months of those thread of people spamming DEMANDING, blizzard do what they wanted.

nope, more people, in both factions, don’t want a copy-paste race of the horde in the alliance, if we were minorty, blizzard would have done high elf instead of void elves

we don’t care because we don’t want that, again, people would start asking other faction races and they would need to do because they did once, and the factions would mean crap

They should not

No they aren’t, stop thinking those knife ears are better than other races

and now both have but with purple color, deal with it.

This is not a game about good vs bad, this obnoxious logic don’t exist, and its one of the reasons blizzard will not bend a knew to this kind of thing, to validade all this nonsense and headcanon.

What? That doesn’t make a lot of sense. Also, with the amount that you’ve posted about this topic, you care.

That’s true to an extent, but Alliance still mainly good and Horde is still mainly aggressive and amoral in their actions. Blizzard still uses that dichotomy; they just don’t make it as stark. It’s why Horde had to be the one to commit an act like burning Teldrassil, or only Horde had a warmonger and a genocidal maniac as their leaders. Things like that would be unthinkable on the Alliance. It’s why they put the orcs into concentration camps instead of executing them. The vast majority of aggressive acts in WoW’s history (that weren’t committed by non-faction villains like the Legion) were done by the Horde.

You can nit-pick all you want about individual points, but it won’t change the fact that Alliance high elves are a highly requested race. Blizzard fundamentally misunderstood what Alliance players wanted when they put in void elves. Giving blue eyes to blood elves will not stop people wanting high elves on Alliance. It’s wishful thinking to think otherwise.

And like I said in my post, it doesn’t have to be a copy-paste. Blizzard can make them look different.

Personally, I’d be fine with “Eastern Elves” going Neutral like Pandaren, except instead of getting a starting experience where you pick your faction, you just choose whether you’re Horde or Alliance and you’re done with it.

That being said, if EE go neutral, with blood elves for the Horde and high elves for the Alliance, I feel the Horde would need an equivalent exchange. That’s sort of the key part that I think is missing here; there’s no good Alliance race that makes sense to go neutral for the Horde. And if Blizzard ends up designing us something new, Alliance players will complete that we got something new while all they got is “something neutral.” It’s the same vicious cycle that Alliance players always put us in, to be honest.

So, what do you think is an appropriate thing for Horde to get alongside EE being available to both sides?

The Alliance isn’t good, but they are SUPER racist.

With the exception of the pandaren, they don’t allow anyone to formally join them who isn’t descended from a titanic race or a wielder of the Light.

Why can’t they be a different form of NELFs? That way it wouldn’t be robbing the opposite faction.

Like core draeni and lightforged draenei

Call them high borne or something

But the base race would be night elves

If it was up to me, the only ones allowed in to the Alliance would be HMP.

Tauren. They’re fairly likely to be on good terms with night elves and they’re mostly about peace.

We already have tauren. My question was, “If Alliance gets high elves, which is a Horde race, what do the Horde get in exchange?”

Oh shoot that’s right. Sorry I play both sides and confused myself. Lol

Uhm… Hmm… Alteraci humans for Horde?

Would you accept eredar (manari)? Only half-joking.

Absolutely.

Love the idea of Eredar!

Void Elves are the compromise. This is a perfect example of people asking for a mile after given an inch. I argue the Alliance should not even have void elves. The void elves should be Horde.

That’s been the trend but there have been exceptions (and there’s no reason it has to be the case going forward). Namely, Pandaren and Void Elves. And Night Elves aren’t exactly “light-wielders” per se. Their priestesses are more associated with Elune than the light. There’s no reason why races with the right attitude couldn’t join (like the sethrak, for example). In fact I think people would welcome a non-light wielding race that had a monstrous (Horde?) appearance. Given that they shared something in common with the Alliance of course.

I think when I finally get blue eyes, and can live my high elf dream, I’m going to pick the Night Fae, as their armor is very reminiscent of the old high elven armor with all the nature-themes to it. I also like that the spells are going to be nature/arcane.

Mechagnomes
Kultirans
Night elves

Sorry but a class that is all about the light and ONLY THE LIGHT, should not be playable for a void race.

Well maybe, but by that logic Void Elf and potentially Forsaken priests should only have shadow available. Probably throws a wrench into requests for Forsaken paladins too.

Night elf pallies could be ok but at minimum they’d really need a moon-based reskin, turning all the gold silver/blue.

I think Worgen should have pally too.

They can use holy magic.

It just hurts them.

I never wanted Forsaken paladin,i hope they are never a thing.

Same with their priests.

We already know An’she and Elune is a substitution for light.
