Hide User Interface

I prefer to look at the characters and environment of WoW. The art of WoW is my favorite and I do not enjoy looking at the busy UI anymore. The only thing that needs to stay is a visual for my health source and the energy that my abilities use.

Yes, I do know about ALT - X or ALT - Z or whatever the key binding may be at the time to hide your entire UI. I would like for there to be an option to hide each piece of UI individually. I like how you can use shift M to hide the mini map and that does help.

I have downloaded the bar tender modification to allow me to do this. It is fully updated, and it is still giving me an error message every time I log in.

Please Blizzard if you could pay bar tender or somebody like that to integrate their software to make it so you can hide each and every part of the UI individually.

Please Blizzard I love world of warcraft but the quality of the game needs heavily revised in all aspects.

The texture detail needs revised. Physics need to be implemented. I’m asking for ambient occlusion. Ray tracing. All the above. Please! I would gladly pay double if you could bring the quality of our game to the 2020’s. Thanks!!

Oh, I almost forgot, fully voiced quests! and lip synchronization please!!! In Jesus name!

I’m the same, I love WoW’s graphic style and try to hide parts of my UI as at 100% size it just hides too much of the game window to my taste. :stuck_out_tongue:

Good news! Blizzard plan to add much more options to hide UI in Dragonflight.
Bad news! It doesn’t come out before end of 2022 or more likely, 2023. lol

Btw, I would also pay double subscription price for 2020s World of Warcraft with Shadowland’s graphic in all WoW zones. Take the bait, Blizzard, I know you like money… :moneybag: :moneybag: so take my money. :no_mouth: lol

Good news. Dragonflight will let you do that.

You’ll need to get into UI addons like ElvUI which will do about the same as Bartender but a hundred times more powerful.

It comes with its own sets of issues though, hopefully Blizz’s UI redo will be just as handy and give more people options.

ShestackUI , many addons in one.
Only two directorys.

Square mini map, I set it at 250…
Many things to display for combat all movable or not even display if you want.

Not sure if this is the best thread to add this but, I just spent a bunch of hours getting misled by chat-gpt to try and make a macro to do something related to this and I figured Id save the next guy some time. I use immersion addon only and wanted to hide all my ui elements but still be able to grab quests along the way. I made 2 macros 1 toggles parentUI ala Alt +z the other runs allows immersion frames to overlay hidden UI. Run overlay macro once and use the other to toggle ui in case of emergency.

Toggle UI

/run if UIParent:IsShown() then UIParent:Hide() else UIParent:Show() end

Macro to allow Immersion frames to override hidden UI

/run local f=ImmersionFrame local p=UIParent local w=WorldFrame GeneralDockManager:HookScript(“OnHide”,function() f:SetParent(w) end) GeneralDockManager:HookScript(“OnShow”,function() f:SetParent(p) end)
