Blizzard has recently added a lot of dress transmogs to the game that have a cut out on the side of the legs, which are great but due to being unable to hide leg armor, you always have some piece of armor showing through the cut out. Can we please get an option to hide our leg armor?
It would be great to have the option to hide legs, if even restricted to only when something else is over them (i.e., dresses).
In the interim, I have found that the new Witch’s Skirt legs hide the most material with the new Gossamer Gowns
Huh, good catch.
Another good option is Cournith Waterstrider’s Silken Finery. All you see is the top of the stockings and it looks like a pair of thigh highs.
I usually like to use the Ghostweave pants on my cloth wearers underneath the gossamer-style gowns because I like how the swoop on the leg insets nicely from the cutout of the dress. It’s also a greyish/off-white color so doesn’t clash too much. I’m glad there are some other options, too, now that the new gowns are useable on any armor type.
For night elves, use https://www.wowhead.com/item=209594/legguards-of-chosen-renewal#screenshots . Or the heritage armor legs : https://www.wowhead.com/item=208882/kaldorei-protectors-wrap
Why are people saying that the Legguards of Chosen Renewal look like some glorified bikini when the ones I received look exactly like armor? What am I missing?
This is what mine look like, and the look doesn’t change whether it’s on a male or female Night Elf: https://www.wowhead.com/item=209604/ensemble-raiment-of-amirdrassil
Those pants when mogged with the Gossamer gowns or the lovely dresses leave the legs very much bare. Witch is a request that has been around since those dresses and there low res models have existed. Its a Night Elves exclusive though.
The image posted on Wowhead states that they used the Orb of the Sin’dorei to change their form to a Blood Elf. The pants do look like that on a Blood Elf.
Comparison image of a Night Elf form vs. me using the Orb of the Sin’dorei to change to a Blood Elf. I am using the Night Elf Heritage armor (same model as the Raiment of Amirdrassil, just different color).
Thank you for clarifying. It looks like your pants are the same as mine on my female Night Elf. I am still wondering how certain players are able to transmog their pants to the “Legguards of Hidden Renewal” and have their WOW Battlenet character profile displ;ay this but with the pants hidden?
An example:
You’re welcome.
That could just be an Armory glitch on the website. It tends to have issues with certain appearances at times — with no rhyme or reason as to which newest pieces it refuses to display.

My Night Elf Cayllia wasn’t displaying her heritage armor for quite a while, but now she is finally.
My Mage doesn’t show her weapons. They are the Void ones from Harbinger quest chain.
My Warrior doesn’t show her armor. She is wearing the Gilnean mog set from Reclaiming Gilneas quest chain.
This is the best feature of TWW!
Oh, LOL. Thank you for clarifying! It is just a glitch.
Now characters can hide their leg so that part is addressed, but it is also good to know that people just don’t have some special transmog or ability that I am unaware of.
I found out that there is a dressing room tool on wowhead at https://www.wowhead.com/dressing-room so I was tinkering with this and found that some races show the items as leg armor, and some show it is super armored warrior bikini bottoms! LOL
The Void Elf shows them as just the bikini bottoms: https://www.wowhead.com/dressing-room#fy8zm0zJ89c8me8Wl8mg8Wn8mv8WO8mE8W28s58z5R8ml8Xo8fN8M3h8TF8VFF8TJ8VFQ8zZf8dj08Mtj808aR8MMY8as8MMZ877vzmiF87d
The Night Elf shows them as the bikini bottoms with the leg plates: https://www.wowhead.com/dressing-room#fm8zq0zJ89c8X8rd8W8dS8Y8rt8Z8MLH8bn8MIi8bx8MIS8bl8MNU8bF8MAs858ft8bU8MLa8qP8MfI818fa8bW8MT28zYA8dAU8bh8MuC8bb8Muf8bw8Mut8br8MuA8Mtc80848fL8oy8fq838MLZ8ft8M4b8fH8M5q8wh8mEs8wn8mlV8wC8mBz8fZ8M4q8Meb8wxk8MeG8wxW8Med8wxq8Mew8wxy8Mei8wxe8Meh8wxF8Meu8wxP8MeI8wx38Mer8wts8MeN8wtc8Mef8wtR87FzmiF87d
