Hide Layering Posts

I am getting tired of seeing people posting topics on Layering because they don’t want it. These topics tend to spread misinformation as much as possible because specific groups of people have a selfish agenda that don’t include Blizzard’s interest. If topics about Layering focused more on giving feedback on how they experienced Layering in its current state, I would not complain as much. But that is not what is being seen.

Whether CMs/Mods see this topic and/or act on this is up to them. I just felt I needed to say this cause the topics are not adding anything of value towards the launch of the game.

They don’t fit the description for those as far as I am concerned. I won’t false report just because I don’t agree.

Who needs misinformation when there are a ton of videos showing exactly how layering is working? It’s sharding. Layering is a marketing phrase. We all know how sharding works.

No need for the censorship. You don’t like to see the topics, don’t read them. The fact that there are so many threads, so many that you have to make a post about hiding them, should tell you how important and game-breaking this is to Classic WoW.

Posting the same thread for the 100th time in a different form, instead of going to the existing threads sounds like spam to me. Just sayin’.

Because every single Anti-Layering post omits important information for the sake of “I want it gone”. Show me any one of those threads that account for its limited time of use. Show me any one of those threads that take into account of what Layering is suppose to do and disproves those points. Or better yet, show me any one of those threads that actually give feedback with how they felt of the current state of the layer they played on.

While I would categorize it as spam myself. Spam is suppose to involve more of advertisement things or vandalism of a given topic. So I would rather not just from my perspective. But I respect yours just as well.

why hide them? it’s people’s opinions/feedback just as anything else

You make a fair statement and its not like I haven’t thought about it. I am just getting tired of them. I know I could end up not reading them, but I have a habit of calling people out on there bull. I pretty much just make this thread and don’t care if anything actually comes of it.

Streisand effect much?

I don’t even know what that is

there are rules about how many threads we can create on the same topic. several on the front page is enough, but moderation doesnt strictly enforce the rules either

I vote Kunou for next MVP

i think if there are a lot of threads on it it basically means there’s a lot of support for it

layering was done to make this project more cost effective for blizzard. its not going away, they had to do something to this effect

or it’s a few whiny trolls who are just mad because they aren’t getting their way. In my experience people who are devoted and have a lot of agreeing people tend to post in the same thread. Look at the Unarmored Mounts thread for example. Also the RP-PVP server thread. There’s 1 maybe 2 threads for those that people post in. THAT’S the difference and one indicative way of telling whether people are legitimately requesting petitioning or whatever for something vs people trolling.
