Can we please get a way to hide posts from hidden profiles? I really don’t want to read posts from people that I can otherwise just ignore. Especially since they have gone out of their way to hide the profile so that their posts can be seen.
You can ignore them you just have to add them throught the menu when you click on your own icon.

i don’t think you should ignore people. Even if you hate them, even if their opinion breaks your heart or mind - echo chamber is always much worse.

I only ignore pure trolls. The rest I can handle just fine.
Some people actually get panic attacks from words on a screen.
I know, I know…but still.
With the current moderation being on the down low moreover if you have limited time for your forum time, I’d say some people are worth ignoring. But that’s your choice at the end.
i’ve been in deep depression for past 15 years, i’ve lost any ability to feel empathy or even anything but anger, i can assure you - even at worst case scenario you want people to oppose your opinion, or it’ll become a point of no return

I know, but some people can’t handle it and would rather use a personal censor due to…beliefs…
If people had decent opinions I’d agree with you. A lot are specialized right now on hate and calling names, being obsessed with being destructive and well moderation doesn’t care. They aren’t worth the time of most people.
I have autism. I have been picked on and mocked my entire life. Being able to ignore people on the internet is good. Social anxiety sucks. It really does, and when someone seems to go out of their way to make your day bad, then ignoring them and never having to see their vitriol is a good thing.

I agree that people should have a platform to speak, but at the same time people should have an option to not have to listen to people they don’t want to. If someone is very obviously only making troll posts and annoying people, people should be allowed to block them out, as they bring nothing constructive.
Echo chambers are bad, but people constantly making fart noises in the middle of a conversation isn’t good either.

You didn’t read the rest. It’s not about having dumb opinions, it’s about being destructive. I don’t ignore people because I have the luxury of time, for someone that goes on the forum time to time? Better ignore people if you want to have a decent time.
A lot of people don’t like to listen to well-thought out and rational, two-sided logic because they need to vent and project. They appear dumb because they want to be.

I’m sure there are actual reasons for wanting to hide one’s account, but a disproportionate amount of people who do so are trolls.
If the goal was purely raving like some other forums encourage, I’d be there with you. Some would like to have constructive discussions like it’s the intended goal of this forum and it’s CoC. I didn’t bother much with the old forums because of this, I found having a better time since they have done more moderation here. But sadly like I said it’s being on the down low. I might go back to not using them, or atleast not general discussion if they don’t go back to a heavier moderation.
