Hello! So here’s my situation: I had played a feral druid back in legion and unlocked the moonspirit hidden artifact appearance, but none of the color tints.
I have returned to play Dragonflight with my friends but on a different Server/Faction. I can still use my moonspirit cat form, but seem to be unable to pursue the alternative colors on my new character.
I have read online that i should be able to do this on my new main so long as i use the appearance/transmog to the moonspirit fangs. However, when i check back on my old character to follow the progress nothing progresses. i would hate to have to go level up my old character/spend time on it.
Am i missing something? Thank you <3
So, progress for unlocking tints is generally tied to the character that unlocked the original look. There are some exceptions like the “This Side Up” achievement that will give credit to all your characters, but the the hidden tint unlocks are all tied to the character.
There is a workaround, though. You actually can start getting credit for all of the hidden artifact tints on a character after unlocking any of the hidden artifacts. So, you could farm up one of the less obnoxious hidden druid appearances (like Guardian) on your new druid, and then your new character will start getting hidden artifact tint progress. They won’t have the original color for Moonspirit unlocked, but they can unlock the tints. And since your original druid unlocked the original Moonspirit tint for the barber shop, you’ll end up with all of them unlocked.
