Have they made some sort of change to how hidden artifact appearances unlock? Or is the problem I’m having something I should report?
I got the Guardian hidden artifact on my Druid and it unlocked the other 3 specs’ artifact appearances. Same goes for my Monk, who got the Windwalker one and then got the other 2 as well. This was before the prepatch.
However, on my Priest, I got the Shadow hidden artifact, but it didn’t unlock the Disc and Holy appearances. I got it after the prepatch dropped, so I’m curious if this was an intentional change or if something is wrong.
Equip your artifact, then go to look at it in your class hall and hover over where it shows how to unlock the other appearances.
Now’s the best time to pursue Balance of Power for example (especially for your Guardian, go get your glowy green and glowy blue bear forms!)

It didn’t unlock the other 3 spec’s base hidden appearance, just the extra tints.
So on your Priest, if you go unlock one of the other tints for the hidden appearance, it should unlock the same slot for Holy and Disc. If that’s what you’re talking about and it’s not working then idk, sounds like they broke something.

I just did this myself.
I did BoP unlocked my RET 2h Sword artifact tmog and it also gave me the holy and tank BoP artifact tmogs.
This is for each class that you’ve at least unlocked all their artifacts. So if you main unholy DK and and you never bothered with Blood or Frost you’ll now have all those artifact tmogs.
OH MY GOD I’M SO DUMB. I totally forgot, you only unlock the other specs if you unlock the tints from dungeons/world quests/player kills. I forgot I had unlocked my Monk’s second tint and my Druid’s 2nd and 3rd.

Some of the Balance of Power quests in certain classes are bugged. So, be prepared.
Also, the hidden appearances depend on items that drop, or so they say.
The drops are ABYSMALLY LOW.
