So far this week I have killed the World Boss Aurostor on 7 characters and have not received any gear loot (if I have received anything at all it has been multiple of the unvendorable Visages or a single purple seed).
Last week when I did the Aurostor I received at least 5 or 6 pieces of gear across my 70s. Did I miss a nerf note to the drop rate on the world boss or am I just having garbage drop luck? I am also not seeing others in the raid groups getting much in the way of loot.
I’ve only done him twice and got drops both times - a little pet and a cosmetic. So at least I got something.

No, what you’re experiencing here is the end of a ludicrous hot streak that the rest of us are deeply, deeply jealous of. Getting that many pieces of loot in one week is ridiculously lucky.
I mean it was across 17 level 70s…and zilch in LFR.
I got nothing last week on any of my toons… I did get a piece from the vault today.
OK, full set of 17 level 70s and I received 3 purple seeds, 2 necks, 1 chest, 1 belt and multiple of the stupid visages. So less loot than last week and boy it was a good 10-toon streak with nothing there!!
I never get feesr from world bosses. Two pieces since DF started— one of them after the season was obsolete.
