Hi, i just want to remind everyone including Blizzard that there is a sword stuck in Azeroth

I’m honestly not surprised that there isn’t a goblin troop charging to climb up the hilt

Yeah… Seems like it would have been a lot cooler to make it extend to the vanishing point.

Did you drop one of yours while flying recklessly on your dragon, or something?

I told my ex the same thing about pulling out, which is probably why I have 6 kids. YMMV

Can we do that to Shadowlands already?

Tired of these covenant abilities in every talent tree, especially Monk.

knowing Goblins, a more honest depiction would be for it to be slowly dismanted each patch, and parts of it show up for sale as useful components. Like when I lived in NY, and you saw a car broken down and in short order, stripped for parts.

It might have thrown the rotation out that first day (if Azeroth rotates, in this universe who knows?) and lengthened the period of a day by a few miliseconds, but it lacks enough mass to have much of an effect. I would think stabbing a ball rotating at near 1000 mph at the equator would leave a longer gash in the surface but…magic!

It does rotate, one can watch it doing so from the Vindicator

Well they don’t play the game so probably forgotten.

Typical blizzard style

Once upon a time, I did a rough WAG on how much the Sword would increase Azeroth’s moment of inertia, and hence, how much you’d expect its rotational dynamics to change. The increase was pitiful, on the order of a fraction of a percent. So … a barely measurable increase or decrease in the length of a day?

your point is???

It shouldn’t - because it’s not just the planet, but the atmosphere as well that’s rotating.

It’s just part of the landscape now.

Idk what ur talkin about tbh. BFA just had an extremely long content drought then something happened an Covid popped up an suddenly we are on another “hidden isle” full of dragon an dragonish people.

Nothing to see here.

My short list of covenant abilities that should have carried over:

Interesting content overall. Maybe conduit energy could have stuck around another expansion. /s

Fun idea?

A normal 1-hand sword model stuck in the sand around Silithus for every player that unsubbed following Legion and never returned.

If they want to resub, they have to do a quest line through Silithus that effectively has them on a roller coaster explaining all the great content they missed, except the game is a little glitchy and has a 35% chance per expansion to disconnect and you lose all quest progress and need to start over when you log back in. It’s unfair to returning players to give anyone a false impression of the game state, like anything has actually changed, in my opinion.

That happened like 3 expansions ago, it doesn’t matter anymore.

Goblin Gnomes have got corrupted when Trying to pull the sword from the planet that has turned into a black whole magical wizzard man Kadgar asks for you help once more to explore a whole new planet in the cosmos

You know they’re gonna plant a seed in that hole and there’s going to be a new night elf tree in Silithus.

Tyrande (giving Merithra the stink-eye): “This looks more like a climbing vine than a tree.”

Merithra: “Trust me, this will work. Two birds, one stone.”
