Hi guys, trying to unlock Nightborne, question inside

So I got to a point where it says I need to get to honored with Nightfallen, but I thought the rep requirements are gone. I’m trying to unlock Nightborne. DO I need to get to honored with them to progress the storyline? I’m so lost but I don’t want to commit to a rep grind if it’s not required. ANy help would be great, I really want Night Borne.

I did but it was confusing and didn’t answer this particular doubt of mine.

No worries, thanks. If anybody else could pitch in, please do

The guide was updated in Oct of last year.
Lightly reading it it just needs the achevement completed, so I beleve it has no rep grind now.

But yes someone else should also help you.

The quests to get to X reputation level with the Nightfallen are not required to progress the main quest chain or unlock the Nightborn. (Neither are the Suramar dungeon quests.)

Ok thank you, so then how do I get the next quest in the storyline now? I don’t see it anywhere, I’m afraid.

I’m not sure exactly where you’re at in the storyline, so it’s hard to give specific advice. Some common things to look for:

If you’re still on the Good Suramaritain part of the chain, then make sure you’ve fed mana to all of the NPCs. Some of their quests won’t show up if they are near withering. (Some will, just to be confusing.)

There are also several quest chains during the Good Suramaritain part of the unlock that don’t start in Shal’Aran and you just have to find. (Before flying, these were easier to come across doing the other quests in Suramar, but now with flying unlocked, they are easier to miss.) The guide Btq linked should help track them down. Also, if you’re doing it on a level 60, make sure to turn on trivial quest tracking. Some of the starting quests will show up as “!” on the world map.

Later on in the Good Suramaritain chain, you’ll need to have completed the Leyline Bling achievement to progress.

There is an easy to miss transition quest between Good Suramritain and Insurrection that is picked up just outside Shal’Aran.

Insurrection is fairly linear, and each part starts in Shal’Aran. Some of the segments will take you out of Suramar, so that’s the most likely time people lose their place there.

Yeah this was really helpfu, I should keep this in mind.
