Hi guys, do god PvPers use TAB to target things? or use it as a skill key?

Just as above. would the best players use tab to target stuff in BGs and arena, or just click on the person and save tab for an ability key. thanks

Arenas: Use arena target keybinds. You can make them custom macros or use the standard keybind in the WoW settings. F1-F3 or ASD are the common ones.

BGs: Most have a keybind to target the target of your focus, which is usually your target caller. They also use the set focus keybind for their focus macro abilities. But there is plenty of tab targeting and target clicking.

yessir. i dont know how people without left pinkys even play this game. maybe foot pedal for tab?

I’ve been trying to figure out how to get some more keybinds, never thought of foot pedals…

I put capslock as target nearest enemy player. I use that in bgs or just click targets… I use mouseover macros so I generally keep up with my mouse pointer. I think I had T as assist the target caller but I haven’t ran rbgs since early bfa/legion.

I have the Tab key-bound with one of two macros attached, that I swap out depending on whether it’s PvE or PvP.

And I have a secondary key-bind for targeting teammates.

Thankfully when applying PW:Shield to many people, the game is smart enough to not re-target someone who has it already applied. Thus making it easy to cycle through and apply PW:Shield to every player around me in Arenas or BGs.

I have been wanting a way to make healing more like DPS in BG’s. I find using the whack a mole raid frames to be awkward and more challenging to stay aware of what is going on.

I might have to give it another go with some better nameplates for my team and a tab target like keybind.

You can change targeting settings for tab from target enemy to target enemy player. This way you won’t target pets or mobs/npc’s

Nah I keyboard turn and backpedal while clicking my abilities from my spellbook
