This is exactly why all my friends eventually left during the leveling, but supposedly this isn’t a thing and the LFG tool is always full of people to play with by what people told me, we just sucked and didn’t know how to form groups, I bet even your LFG channel is dead like our were.
Imagine wanting to play the game the way they like it… HOW DARE THEY?!
The reason why lfg is dead atm is cause everyone is pushing at around 68-80 once they grind out what they need and get bored they’ll start making alts HOPEFULLY.
Or they can just add RDF and get better results DEFINITELY
True maybe one day they’ll read the forums
Just think of how much more this will make you cherish that group when you finally do get one for Scarlet monestary. 100 percent chance you add one of them irl and he becomes your best man when you marry the healer.
Not even RDF will help group forming if only its only 35 players… Leave that place… I was on a 200ish horde server and migrated away…
RDF is cross server.
I love how some anti-RDF folks are just covering their ears and eyes and ignoring the problems that Blizzard solved 10+ years ago.
What effects are those exactly? I keep hearing about the “game effects” yet the only thing people can seem to come up with is some unproven theory about “community”
You are reaching so hard its ridiculous…
There is nothing to lose with RDF
Here’s what’s funny though according to that comment…If cross realm grouping did exist…wouldn’t it be kind of a good thing that person was able to actually do the content. What if 5 low pop obscure realms were linked for dungeons and even though they were considered dead, the players on them were still able to do in game content? Isn’t that kind of a win?
Or do we want like 4 mega servers and nothing else? Better fix the queues and allow more players to login at once. Oh but then it’ll be so crowded each mob for a quest has 20 people waiting on it to spawn, better add more layers. See where i’m going with all of this?
Brace for the unintelligent to come in here and tell you that you’re wrong or just bad and that low level is fine without RDF.
Off the top of my head:
Reduction of world immersion
Reduction of sense of world scale
Devaluation of dungeon loot due to frequency
Heavy incentivization of speed over quality to maximize loot/xp returns
Dehumanization of other players via automated nature and ‘disposable’ quick groups
Massive reduction in possible post-dungeon community building interactions (re: different realms so no trading, inviting to guild, ‘hey we’re in the same area, are you also on these quests? Let’s work on them together!’)
Reduction in natural world PvP
Reduction of liveliness in questing zones due to ease/convenience of instanced content
Devaluation of quest rewards and natural gear progression due to ease of acquiring dungeon loot
Don’t consider this an exhaustive list. It’s just the first things that come to mind.
Blizzard would rather you level slow so they keep you subbed longer. It’s a win-win for them. A huge loss for players, leveling from 1-68 with nobody to dungeon with is so boring, especially when you’ve already done it and don’t really care about the questing experience.
I asked for RDF for 1-58 or 1-68 a few weeks ago and Blizzard clearly doesn’t care that you have nobody to play an MMO game with. They are clearly on mega servers and have no problem finding a group as that is the main counter to this argument. People only think about themselves and don’t realize there are people out there trying to level and run dungeons with but are unable to do so. They think adding RDF will cater to “casual players” or some other lame excuse when it’s really just allowing players to play the game with other people, or wait is this a single player game?
You guys treat players like crap with or without RDF.
Check Retail forums, Reddit, Discord. You have peeps taking vow of silences because you guys are horrible lmao.
We just don’t wanna talk to you people lol. It isn’t a hard thing to understand. WoW has a toxic community and it’s known for it.
I just wanna get in and get out a dungeon.
Nothing more or less.
There is no downside to RDF or LFR, those effect only exist in some streamer’s head
After few months or after you did the content already 100 times in the past there is no “Immersion” anymore at least for me.
That is in your head, nobody need to literally walk or crawl in the whole zones to know its big.
They gonna add Heroic+ which will add yet anothher way to earn gear, they do not give a damn about this.
That is a choice people have to make for themselves, it didn’t stop most people to spam LFG to chain dungeons 24/24, I personally always did a mix of LFD and questing, those sweaty boys who just want to rush end game will use any method possible to get there as fast as possible, other people just enjoy dungeon crawling and its all they want to do, they legit hate questing.
Mega server are exactly like this right now there is so many people everybody is “Disposable” the only place where people do not kick people out of the dungeons are for smaller servers where if they kick someone from the group well, the dungeon is over since there is nobody to replace that person no matter how rude/annoying or legit bad they are.
Not a single time I ever talked or saw people I grouped with outside of a dungeon even on my dead server, they are not interested in social interaction even if I try.
What about PVE servers? There is no real World PvP on those in any real major way to begin with.
Zones level 1-70 are already dead barren desert as for level 70-80 most people are flying by now so you see nobody anyway.
Damn… I guess we need to ban heirloom then and nothing is being devalued, those quests rewards still sell for a good amount of gold or can be disenchant.
Agreed, im leveling an alt paladin and i havent found a group on my level 30 paladin since wotlk dropped LOL wtb rdf pls blizz
?? How is this supposed to be relevant or applicable to the discussion, even if I assume it’s true? ‘People that don’t like RDF are mean, so, I win’??
Most of your counters are indicative of server issues, with should be addressed by blizzard. I do not agree that an RDF bandaid is the way to go (and apparently, neither does the wow classic team).
