Nor does Worgen gaining a bunch of mass after transforming, or losing a finger, or really transforming in general.
Hey guys, check out the steampunk costume I found and this âmedievalâ outfit a worgen is wearing.
Damn, it only now occurs to me heâs been confusing Victorian for Medieval this entire time.
Yeah I realized it when I was staring at my worgen on the login screen, wearing a top hat.
Speaking of old werewolf mythology, Iâm reminded of one story I read where a werewolf could be snapped back into human form if someone who unconditionally loved and trusted them were to call out their name.
Which ended up going rather poorly when one werewolf let a family member in on their secret, goes âcheck this outâ and has the relative sit on the roof so they can watch the werewolf pilfer a sheep from the neighborâs herd. The relative saw the neighbor coming out to defend the herd, shouts the werewolfâs name with âWatch out!â and the werewolf inadvertently pops back into human form and gets beaten by the neighbor.
Also, just cause MEDIEVAL folks didnât give them tails, doesnât mean we canât. Medieval folks didnât understand a ton of science like anatomy, so of course they wouldnât understand why a wolf man would need a tail not to fall over like a complete buffoon.
WoWâs lore is also not entirely based on real world mythology, WoWâs werewolves are Druidic shapeshifters with only slightly less control over how their forms change.
wut? they are meant to have tails. i mean the very word tail is in their name Weretailwolf. see.
elves in plate armor look ridiculous too but nobody complains about them
Wolfman want tail. Wolfman need tail.
True I rarely even see a Worgen lol.
I think you look rather elegant & snazzy.
Because have you seen their animations? Tails are for balance and considering how far forward Worgen lean in most of their animations it just looks so awful.
Who cares, will never get it.
Thereâs no fixing those models. Especially fem worgen, ugh.
There are all sorts of reasons.
The one I find most compelling is how off-balance the models (particularly the male models) appear without them. They look like they should be pitching forward face-first into the ground while just standing.
I will forever despise normies who refuse to actually learn about our fandom and not spread nonsense spread by reddit users. :3
Werewolves varied from culture to culture but one youâre referring to were feral Wolves with no tail and were not Anthro although was not the case in every culture only real consistent was they were a feral beast. As for whos responsible for them being Anthropomorphic that could probably be given to Hollywood and not the furry fandom.
Well Worgen already are not accurate to the ideas of European Superstition as they walk on two legs not 4 or 3 using one leg to imitate a tail and also the Worgen Race are not Medieval theyâre Victorian or more specifically Victorian Gothic.
I wouldnât like them. From any artwork Iâve seen of them with tails, I think they look ridiculous. And they just cause clipping with capes. Now if they added them as an option I would never pick one. But if it was standard Iâd race change my four Worgen alts.
Iâm simply amazed how other games can fix the most minor issues like clipping and hoods without hairâŚbut WoW just canât. like all of I think two races donât clip in most armorâŚmeanwhile the other 20 something do.
I blame the fact that our lead developer doesnât even transmog.
A significant portion are answering this very question. Pretty sure Wolfie has a whole video on it.
Fine I wonât. Here you go:
Because the model is lopsided without one.
Nobody asked you. Do you even play a worgen? Does this even affect you? This is a totally subjective reason. Your dislike is canceled by just one player who actually plays the race.
Too short. Too Horde. Wayyyyy too short and Horde. If you hate tails so much, why are you okay with the enormous floof that is vulpera?
On this topic⌠did you even notice the skin tone of your character? Some things are added because it is a bit odd for them not to be there and/or it is just popular with the community that plays it. It looks a bit ridiculous from the point of lore with the High Elves and their skin color being a result of LOSING the Night Elf purple pigment after being exiled. But that lore got shifted for the enjoyment of yourself and other players.
Now imagine youâre someone who plays a bestial character that is missing something pretty significant above their butt, and there is no actual lore reason against it, and the only arguments against it are totally subjective opinions from Blood Elf player #56,745 who donât want to play worgen anyway?
Look man, I tried to put pants on ya, but you kept growling at me and whining about it, so I just sort of gave up and let you run around pants free like a fem Draenei⌠or like one of them Night Elf womenâŚman, a lot of yâall really hate pants. /joke
