Hey.... It was this community that wanted this patch years ago by the way

BR’s? Look back 6 years ago:

The April fools patch notes of 2018.

US link bugs out but here’s some proof the general discussion community wanted this.

New Feature: Royale Battlegrounds

Drop into a massive free-for-all where you and 99 other unknown players will battle to be the last one standing.
Everyone starts each round with no equipment, talents, or class abilities; you’ll have to find them hidden around the map (or take them from your opponents) to survive.
Earn exciting new rewards like special cosmetic gear, a new “Fort Knight” title, and more.

While it was an April fools joke… Here some people wanting this:

Like if you want Royale Battlegrounds to be a real thing

Was thinking the same lol

Not good enough? How about the wow head section?

Royale Battlegrounds actually sounds like it could work. Top effort this year : )

Royale Battlegrounds… Just a matter of time before Blizzard experiments with this. Limited time offering. See how it goes. Viable IMHO

Royale Battlegrounds sound quite fun

Am I the only one that thinks WoW battle royale would probably be alot of fun. Path of exile did it as a joke, and honest it’s the best mode the game has ever had. I think WoW could do a good job with it.

I laughed so much! Thanks Blizzard! Although Royale Battlegrounds sounds like some players would enjoy

What is being suggest is blizz’s take on say PUBH. Big map, gear, a shrinking play areaz and last one standing wins. Basically a separate games and they may do that for real considering just how popular the genre is. They would have to be different, but they might be able to succeed with it.

Royale Battlegrounds actually sounds like it could work.

That’s about how I feel toom maybe it’ll be one April’s fools joke that becomes reality considering anything with the MMO prefix would likely benefit from utilizing mass appeal.

Royale Battlegrounds would be very much welcomed.

So yeah… Be careful what you wish for.

6 years ago when the genre was at its peak and it was included in the actual game itself. Yes, I’d have been down with some old school Blizzard iteration on that type of game as a battleground. Unfortunately, that isn’t close to what he got.

That’s about as many people as have liked their Plunderstorm launch post.

I can imagine that 49 people wanted it then and 4 of those people are no longer playing. Since their post is sitting at 45 likes.

Also, PS isn’t a battleground, so no, they weren’t asking for Plunderstorm.

15 more and they’ll have enough for a game of plunderstorm!

Wow a whole 49 people

Thats what, 80% of wows population in your mind or something?

Look, Malgorok, the forums don’t tell the whole story.

Unless it’s an archived thread from 6 years ago. Then it’s conclusive.

ignore the wow forums where the least accurate and most toxic players hang. waves

Wish we could link to the old threads demanding paladins stay alliance only.

Well you had me in the first half.

Here is a heart for your post but consider it one half of a heart.

A garbage amount of likes? From a time when the forums were more active.

the fact we can kill other players is the thing brining me back to wow.

I haven’t been killing other players in war mode and BGs all this time?

We get it Zuma, you very desperately want this failure of an “event” to be anything but a failure…which if we’re being 100% with you, is very weird for someone who has absolutely no investment in it whatsoever. Like, the only reason people should be going as hard as you are for this is if their job is on the line.

Fair enough. :robot::+1:

warmode is actually a major reason pvp is on the decline.

the hate for this event is very group think like kinda like the twitter mob which wow forums is much like…

Hmm. That is an interesting theory actually. Can you break it down a bit for me? Why is war mode causing a decline that PvP servers didn’t?

I see zuma is on assignment again.

By all known metrics, if The Group thinks something is a failure, then it’s a failure. That’s how Democracy works, whether it’s Democracy in the political, social, or economic sense.
