There’s a whole stable of NPCs from Comp Stomp that can be pulled from as well.
But really, since it’s just a character skin laid over some AI, the characters can be basically anything.

I liked the BE who stood around the harbor always talking about how hot he was. It never stopped being entertaining for me.

True, but the ones on the island had voicelines and ‘personality’ added to the pvp layer. It really made them more unique.
i was thinkin the same thing OP.
though, my reasoning was cause it would give them a purpose. i mean, they have’nt been doing anything but sit-around boralus/zuldazar since bfa, and clearly someone put a lot of work in to make these teams of characters.
why not let them join us on our escapades?

Also a win-win. Reuse old work is minimum effort. And they are a fan favourite if anything.
Though, they’d have to make up a missing 4th member, I’m sure that wont be too hard.

could be as easy as either making up someone new, take someone from one of the other teams (have them complain about it, that’d be kinda funny), or throw the captain of the island expedition ship in there… make him worried about how dangerous it is.
it’s just that easy.

I’d like Johnny Awesome ( Blood Elf NPC) and if you have a flawless run, he might gift you a pet: Invincable’s colt, Invisible.

Duuude. You’d end up just with him. No other members. Just him and you. He can tank AND heal. Hes a pally. He’s Johnny -beepin- Awesome!

Imagine if Blizzard really goes all in and puts in a ‘secret level’ you can find/unlock.:
1-the ever popular cow level- your whole team and all the bosses are tauren. Reward is a well made helmet with feathers and cow horns.
2- Sylvanis is your healer, Jayna your Tank- this would be a salt mine, but everyone would do it, I think. Reward should be chance at Swift Zulian Tiger mount,

The entire goblin engineering team were pure gold, I’d love to see those guys in my dungeon runs just jumping around everywhere.
