There’s been a lot of discussion about it already. Probably wouldn’t be hard for you to find peoples’ opinions. Blizz also did a poll on twitter about what things people are excited for from the war within announcement. Spoiler; it was very much “uhm the other” on earthen.

Tell you what though, since I’m in a mood with blizzard and the moment and happy to rail against them, I will say I am not excited for earthen. At least not the earthen as they were presented. Because those were just dwarves. Apparently taller dwarves, with stony skin. But that’s literally just a standard dwarf using stone form. Put them in armor and you can’t see those lovely gems they’ve got poking out of them. Most of the earthen we’ve seen before look far cooler with their stone beards. Give us those and I would genuinely be excited.

Sorry dude, just read a whole discourse of someone stupid, have a literal fever and I forgot genuine newbies exist.
Generally, people are pissed because;
- cheap reskin/recolour
- horde gets alliance race

Yeah if they could be bigger i think it would make them different enough I could be down for it. Plus, like you said gear will cover up all the good stuff (gems) so what’s the point, unless the racial gonna be crazy good but still meh… Gimmie Ogre. Thank you for sharing ur thought w/me

I’m kind of meh about them. Really like mechagnomes. I’m glad theirs more options for players. More options are always good. Hopefully there will be more allied races.
Kind of disappointed we didn’t get Tuskarr this expac.

Right, I can just see in the future them saying “we made a mistake and now you can customize Earthen, Mec gnomes etc. in the barber shop” Hopefully they are hearing this feedback. lol
But then I mean sure there is story with them, idk how different from the main race they are.

mechagnome have superior racials to gnomes though. so they’d have to find a system to make that work.
But with the new Man’ari customisation. they made it so that their racial is fel coloured when you use that skin. so maybe, it might be possible to have racials linked to skins.

Alliance doesn’t care if horde get dwarves. People are more upset that its a 3rd reskin, and that naga, ogres, and other wanted races were not even considered.
