Blizz: No. But you can get a sarge pet drop with each kill that is soulbound and can’t be caged and is unique so you can only keep 1 of instead.

If the pet wasn’t common then people would complain about it like they are the bag. Then when the event is over people would throw a hissy fit because they didn’t get the pet.

Random drops are random? Inconceivable.

Random isn’t really random, though. I mean, I could go into bell curves and probability distributions, but the crux of it goes like this:
I’ve done 12 kills across the past day. Gotten 6 more Sarges, 18 Wildcards, a smattering of grey loot and no bags. Also as more anecdotal evidence, people are also getting numerous Sarges in the kills as evidenced by chat exploding with /says “Do you need a Sarge? I’ve got an extra”. “Me too!”, etc…
Admittedly, this is all anecdotal, as I only have my kills today since they changed the loot tables (Which they did, because greys were not dropping previously), and the Sarge drop rate is incredibly high for a unique item. I suspect that someone put the wrong item ID in the wrong place and these Sarge drops are supposed to be Bags. But that’s just hypothesis on my part.

Or were you unaware of the fact that they recently drastically increased the drop rate of the pet and made it droppable on accounts that already acquired it?

Can confirm. I’m on my 8th Sarge since yesterday and the bag is the only thing that hasn’t dropped after many, many kills. Nothing but Sarges and grey trash.

i wish the drops were account bound too - i got the bag an on alt but really would have liked it on another character

I’ve seen more people try to trade bags for pets than vice verse. Pet drop rate is 5%, bag is 10% according to wowhead with a sample of 5500 drops. Didn’t realize the bag was even tradeable.
I need the belt to drop, oh and more bags would be nice too.

I need the hat to drop. I’ll be working on that today. I can take or leave the tabard but don’t have that yet, either.
I’ve seen the opposite - it’s become a joke on my realm because of how often Sarge is dropping. I’ve yet to see a bag with the billion kills I’ve made but I have eight Sarges.

Yeah, once i got everything on my main, i started farming the bag on an alt. first 5 kills i got 4 Sarge pets. Trying my best to give them away to people.
