Seriously, what the actual hell? Who the hell is paying for the middle tier lol, it comes with three extra things, you don’t even get a pet. They are REALLY Pushing people to get the 80 dollar one lol
There’s still the upgrade path. Blizzard can undersell you to keep the cost down, then you catch up later with the upgrade. Maybe you get a new job with a signing bonus, or you have christmas presents.
Just trying to help.
The middle tier literally exists to help you justify buying the top tier. It’s classic marketing.
It’s a marketing tactic, it’s the same reason a movie theater sells a small pop for $4, medium for 4.50 and a large with free refills for $5. They give you the illusion of choice.
Doesn’t matter lol. Yes, I am aware, but why should I do that? They’re really pushing housing lol, they give everyone free early acccess but no furniture to gol with it? It’s a waste of 70 dollars. Like yes, I am aware it’s a marketing tactic but it’s still stupid nonetheless
So you would prefer they sell the regular bundle for $50 and the premium for $90 with nothing in the middle?
They get so much benefit from offering the middle tier even if noone buys it and it doesn’t cost them a thing. Again you don’t have to care, but you even acknowledge you 're aware it’s a thing and it has worked for companies for years. It isn’t stopping.
No, I’m saying there should be a little bit more offered in the middle. I’m not saying those people should get beta or three days early access, no. But they should at least get a pet or another transmog set, maybe even at least one decor item.
It’s justification at this point. I’m pretty sure in the past, people got more from the middle tier. You don’t get anything from the middle, it’s not “a lot” as you claim.
Preorders are stupid in general. You are paying early for a digitally produced and distributed product. Ridiculous; Making bank off of pure desperation.
Okay I see what you mean, on that I agree 100%
I think for TWW the middle tier did include one mount and one pet, or something like that. But the top tier got an extra color of the mount and a transmog.
Yeahhh, I think in the past, before TWW and DF, people got more from the middle tier.
I feel as though the middle-tier is redundant. In a logical world, you’re better off either purchasing the lowest tier or the highest. One thousand tenders don’t make up for the price justification.
For an expansion pushing housing so heavily, I’d expect to see furniture in at least two of the tiers.
all achievements you earned that award a furniture, the furniture will be granted upon login
get ready for 2000 achievement furniture upon login
Blizzard is predicting use and sales based on that. I’m somewhat willing to assist them in that endeavor, if it has sufficient benefit to me like gadgets and toys.
Not stupid for Blizz, since they get some extra testing and bugs reporting done which not only doesn’t cost them anything but actually it’s opposite… People are paying THEM to test their game for three days!
It’s going to be a cluster of bugs, missing pieces, duplicates, and I am on board to witnress it all lol
Literally how it feels lol. Bug exploiters love the 3 day early access!
Of course. That is the ultimate goal. They want you buying the higher end item so they pack it with extras. Seems like pretty basic marketing.
And it worked. I bought a copy for myself and then I also bought one for my wife and a third one for my son. We’re all gonna have three day early access to jump in and do all sorts of stuff.
That’s nice
I miss the days I’d just go and buy a physical edition and play the game lol… this digital, sweeteners to sweeten the deal is only good for those that don’t care. Probably will fork out 100$ for some silly one-sie mog
The entire point of the middle option with a LOT of things is solely to make the highest option feel like more of a no-brainer for anyone who has the means to purchase higher than the base option. It exists with drink sizes at restaurants, trims of cars, all kinds of things. Just look at how many times the middle choice is either so meager compared to the next option or is a larger jump in cost from the base compared to the next item.
