Ok hear me out, this is ridiculous but, I think it will work. I’m in no ways a dungeon/raid kind of guy, just some PvP and world quests while gathering herbs.
I really want the heroic tier legs for my transmog on my mage. I think I have a work around but, it will require some sacrifice and, I’m not sure if it’ll work which will waste some currency.
If I buy the conquest point legs, gather 15 runed crests by trading the items at the vault for the two coins and then trading the two coins for 15 runed crests, transform the legs into the tier piece via the catalyst then upgrade it to at least 610 (this is where the runes come in), would that work?
I tried before on some epic legs (around 580-590 Ilevel) but, I think the item level was too low on the legs I tried and it maxed out at 606 so, I wasted a bit of time and currency. I wanted to be sure before trying it.

Quick question, does this work on crafted gear, specifically the Consecrated Leggings? I see that the Algari equipment (crafted PvP) isn’t able to be changed into a tier piece by the catalyst so, I assume the PvE equivalent is the same?
I’m not It’d be a smart choice but, I can’t get into them. They remind me of torghast and I HATED Torghast. I haven’t really touched PvE content apart from the main storyline
Ok so, I gave it a try and it did NOT award the heroic colouring
I bought the conquest point legs, took them to the catalyst and converted them to the Coattails, then upgraded them to 613 and…. They stayed the red conquest colour.
I chucked up a ticket cause I’m not sure if that’s working as intended but, if it is I’ll be grossly disappointed
Just curious, what level delves would I need to do for the gear to be upgradeable to heroic? Any help would be appreciated!
You could get champion items from t7 or t8 bountiful delves (ilvl 597-603) and upgrade to 610. The vault will give 610-616 gear so upgrades wouldn’t be necessary. Any pve item between 610 and 619 will turn into the heroic tier transmog when put through the catalyst.
Ok so I’ve had some back and forth with some GMs about the issue and posted this in case someone else tries this route.
The GMs couldn’t specify exactly what’s going on. They wouldn’t answer if I could have the item refunded or not. They also wouldn’t say if this was working as intended and they declared it as a bug granted, this is the only case of this happening but, I honestly don’t think anyone else has tried this.
I’m not hopeful this bug will be fixed. It is what it is I guess. Guess I’ll have to try my luck with the vault

Hey mate, just two questions about delves. I got as far as tier 9 and am happy to stay there. My first question is, do the bountiful delves drop anything bar trinkets and capes? That’s all I’ve got so far and have done quite a few of them.
Secondly, the vault rewards. I need to do 8 vaults to unlock the three slots but, I find it doesn’t end there. Then there are tiers which, even if I do a 8 or 9, the item level of the vault item goes up only one tier so I end up doing a tonne of delves each week. Is that how it’s supposed to work?
When reading the vault it’ll say “complete a tier 5 delve or higher to level up this item” so, I’ll go do a nine and it will then say, “complete a level 6 delve or higher”. I thought it would skip straight to that tier. It’s a long slow grind otherwise
You do get things that aren’t capes and trinkets but those things pop up a lot. The delve loot table has a ton of stuff. For most gear slots (like cloth wrist or leather waist) it only has 1 or 2 items but it has 8 capes, 6 rings and 6 trinkets. So you end up seeing more of those than other things. Fortunately delves give so much loot compared to raid/dungeons that you’ll eventually get what you need.
The vault is a little screwy. World activities (like Theater Troop or Awakening the Machine) count as tier 1 delves which can throw your count off. The whole thing isn’t very intuitive.
The 1st vault slot looks at the lowest of your best 2 delves.
The 2nd looks at the lowest of your best 4.
The 3rd looks at the lowest of your best 8.
So if you have done delves tier 8,7,5,4. The 1st slot would be tier 7 and the 2nd would be tier 4.
If you then did another tier 8, everything should shift (8,8,7,5,4), causing the 1st slot to be tier 8 and the 2nd to be tier 5.
In order to max out your vault, you would need 8 tier 8s.
I ended up downloading a Weakaura called Bountiful Delves Tracker. It keeps track of how many delves over 8 you’ve done. I have a lot of alts so it made it a lot easier to keep track. I think there is also an addon called Delvin that makes the vault UI provide more useful information.
