Why can’t we do some current dungeons on heroic and why are old dungeons in the heroic list? Isn’t that a mythic thing?
Heroic dungeons are now Seasonal Heroics. They follow the Mythic dungeon lineup for the season, had their rewards and difficulty slightly increased.
And yes, it’s dumb.

Blizzard thinks they’re clever tainting the heroic list with the mythic track, I had the same complaint as you can’t queue for heroic cinderbrew brewery as it’s not on the mythic rotation.

They allowed folks to do the older dungeons that are in the seasonal lineup on lower difficulties. Seeing as how heroics are the level of old M0, they threw them in on heroics as well.
no offense but it was still a dumb idea that they did that… I find myself ignoring dungeons entirely now because the ones I wanna run I now gotta use group finder to maybe do and group finder is not always that great thing lately. The ‘seasonal heroics’ idea needs to be scrapped and the one who thought it up fired as this is BS

Gives people another stepping stone to learn the M+ lineup before attempting to dip their toes into M+.
Makes sense to me, one of the barriers of entry was not knowing the dungeons because they were from an expac you didn’t play.
I can see how people would dislike it though, they could add a “queue for this expac heroic” and “queue for season heroic” have the matching dungeons overlap in queue.

I’d agree with this if Heroics weren’t a chain pulling speedrun where no one learns anything.

Or they could have just put them all in the same pool. Would having 12 heroic dungeons instead of 8 in the random line-up really break anything?

So you can’t do current dungeons on heroic if they’re not part of the season? Yeah that seems pretty dumb. Had to do normal dungeon for the quest… How weird

Weekly dungeon quest was rookery which I could not queue up for in heroic , so did normal , blasted through the entire thing for esy rep . I am like 12 million hp and hte healer there is 300k , what an extremize lopsided experiance
I think they should revert it for heroic and M 0 , why do I have to play two seasons to complete the mythic dungeon achieve?

It was funny queueing into rookery normal mode for my weekly and I’m pull 4mill dps and those randoms were probably awe struck, I could tank everything in there as fury so I just pulled the whole dungeon 
I honestly don’t see a problem with it, I would enjoy the free carry. I think its a clever way to showcase maxed gear players to newbs.
Indeed it very much is dumb. I tank on like 5 classes and as a result of this stupidity, I always specific queue if I want to do dungeons. If I want to do a dungeon that I can’t heroic specific queue into because it’s not in the rotation this season, I simply do the normal version of it instead.

Yea man what a flex here. People leveling alts are now “newbs” and have no clue whats going on. Those numbers you posted are going to stay with them their whole life. They will tell stories to their grandchildren. Wow, truely blessed.

In theory it’s not a bad thing to have the heroic dungeon mirror those in the mythic+ pool. They probably did this so they can make adjustments to all tiers at the same time and it will allow players to become familiar with the basic layout and some mechanics for the instance and make moving into mythic 0 and beyond a bit less imposing.

Later in the expansion, maybe. At the start of the expansion removing 50% of the new content dungeons from the LFG queue was pretty dumb.
