I like your name, probably represents OP as well

amazing

Tbh I would’ve chosen top waifu Whitemane but I wanted east coast.

This was funny, really shoulda said we care about not seeing our SA friends lol.

Things ARE different now. Especially with streamers basically telling millions of people hey, We’re the best players because we don’t have a job or family; and we’re all going to roll horde. We didn’t have those kinds of issues at the dawn of vanilla.

I am going to counter with what I believe will be problems for the largest realm.

What lies below is my opinion. None of this may happen, but IMO it is likely to happen.

  • Layering will likely be required for a longer period of time on Herod (if not indefinitely). Due to the surging size - expect the population to be split across multiple layers. With the potential of it being two figure.

  • Stability and events may suffer due to size. Events may be taking place on a particular layer. Due to over-crowding you may not be able to join the layer you desire. Which may prevent you from participating in certain community activities. Queue times are possible, along with greater ping and general server stability.

  • Economy may suffer on this server. Since this version of Warcraft is tuned for less players per server. Inflation may occur and more casual players may be priced out of certain items. Competition for goods and materials will be great. Some players may become experts at exploiting multiple layers.

  • Faction imbalance is likely to occur on this server. Polls indicate that Horde are currently in the lead. This will give them an advantage in WPVP.

My 2 cents. Don’t crowd onto a single server. You aren’t going to like it.

If Herod is the large, premier server, you’re going to get streamers. Asmon said he will “destroy any server that’s not about him.”

Incoming Asmon and his army to Herod. How can he not resist a big juicy server?

Lol Yea I have a hard time believing any of this is true.

Have fun with your massive ques, and hordes of trolls.

Definitely won’t age well. I was in the wow classic guilds leadership discord and a good bit of them are going to Herod. Good riddance haha.

Server is going to be a cesspool.

I’m a proud south american that’s fluent in English, has played in Vanilla and while PvP never interested me much (mostly follow my friends), I’ve competed at the very top level of PvE in guilds like Acquired Taste, Might and Critical Mass.

And I’m on Herod, not Thalnos, so thanks for nothing.

Why are you actively recruiting for a high pop realm? Trying to get us layered/queued for life?

Hush.

Not true. We will settle down to a comfortable population built for long-term sustainability, while other realms slowly die off.

False. The servers have been running smoothly, even under heavy loads. Herod will be an active, thriving community for years to come, with regular events for all members.

Absolutely not. Large servers always have the best economies, whereas small servers are susceptible to scarcity and price gouging. We have 15 years of data to support this.

Not at all. Faction imbalance hits smaller servers harder and faster, because the fallout of one key guild can be enough to swing the balance of power. Larger servers can absorb far more changes with little to no effect.

Polls indicate that Horde is very slightly ahead - certainly not enough to have any significant impact. Our balance is great, so if you’re Alliance, come to Herod and help us achieve a perfect 50:50 split.

Each individual should play where they’re most comfortable. We’re happy to have you on Herod.

yep, going back to the basics, just like the old days

Most of our neckbeards can barely speak English, let alone imagine that someone from another country could be bilingual.
