Hello, I’ve been playing Wow consistently since Dragonflight only.
I think the game needs a “Heroic Levelling” mode, where mobs are 10x harder, the levelling is slower, and you are locked to that expansion.
I levelled up in BFA with my girlfriend, and it was some of the most fun I’ve had in Wow, but it ended too quickly since we reached max level pretty fast. I think you should be able to select a slower pace levelling in Chromie time, where that character is locked into that expansion, and levelling slows down a lot, requiring you to finish the main campaign before you can exit this mode.
At the end, having veteran/adventurer gear equal to the current season/expansion would be great, allowing you to instantly start the current expansion end game content (wwi at the moment)
I’ve tried playing other expansions, but the incentive to play the optional quest and get to see the lore is just not there. It also makes bringing people to the game hard, because all the friends I’ve tried introducing to the game get either overwhelmed by how complicated it gets at end game, or don’t even get to end game because of how boring and fast-paced levelling is.
Imagine starting a Legion campaign with two buddies, where you have to plan how to fight a mob because it could kill you if you fight them with no plan. Where they can read the stories, go into a dungeon (follower dungeon?), where you can show them the mechanics and pay attention to the story.
Currently, it feels like a chore that doesn’t help to explain the story, the gearing system, mechanics, class or anything, to be honest.
Been able to play the campaigns with friends that are story-driven, while also trying to get my portals 3k rating with another character, seems like all the game types I need combine into one.
Let me know what you guys think! First time posting
