Out of curiosity, has anyone found information on if there will still be requirements to unlock the “hero” classes (DKs and DHs)?
I know Allied Races will still require the associated reputation and quest lines, but will DKs and DHs still be locked behind some level requirement? Obviously the level requirement would be dropped, but do new DKs have to have an existing char hit 40 / DHs unlock at achieving 45 kinda’ thing?
Or, since they start at level 1, are they still considered a “hero” class?
DKs don’t need any chars on the server to be created since I started playing end legion, dunno when they removed that, but they did.
I would assume with them becoming level 1, the requirement is lifted. Though I can still see the 1 DH per server remain a thing as they are over powered, still?
idk how “op” DHs are anymore. They are a rare sight in Mythic+ and only one was involved in the world first kill of Queen Azshara (even then, likely it was only for their magic damage boost).
(I haven’t made a new DK in a long time, I didn’t realize the restrictions were already lifted for them).
They haven’t said anything about reqs/limitations for DHs. Good question. I imagine they’ll lift the restriction. DKs & DHs will start at lv 1 and ARs will all start at lv 10.
EDIT: Fixed some misinformation about level starts.
I have always made the case that once you hit cap once you can level any class as a “hero class” (i.e. starting at 55, 60, 70, 80, pick your xpac).
Or just flat out use their new intro-zone to just start all classes at 55+ without the “veteran status”.
That would have avoided the need for a squish (or at least abated it).
They wouldn’t do that as it would have eaten into their boost revenue.
I’m curious how they are justifying this now. I think they finally realized (hey are boosts are useless if we can retain any new players long enough to purchase one).
